• Rams' Matthew Stafford: Massive yardage total in OT loss

  Stafford completed 40 of 54 passes for 383 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Rams' 37-34 overtime loss to the Bills on Monday night. Stafford's stellar final line underscores he did everything within his power to lead the Rams to victory, as the reigning MVP finished with his second-highest passing yardage total of the season and third 300-yard effort of the campaign. The night also marked Stafford's third multi-TD tally over the first five games, with his scoring strikes going to Davante Adams (four and five yards) and Puka Nacua (two yards). Nacua also was on the receiving end of a whopping 17 of Stafford's completions and the intended target on 24 of his pass attempts, but all of those efforts went for naught thanks to the Bills' block of a Harrison Mevis 48-yard field-goal attempt in overtime that would have sealed the victory for Los Angeles. Stafford and the Rams now will look to bounce back in a Week 6 home divisional matchup against the Cardinals on Sunday.

  It's been a rocky start to the season so far for Stafford, but he should have a dominant game in Week 5 against Buffalo. I like Stafford as a top-three Fantasy quarterback in all leagues. He has two games this year with at least 24.9 Fantasy points and two others with 9.7 Fantasy points or less. Puka Nacua missed two games with a groin injury, but he's healthy now. And Stafford is throwing the ball a lot with at least 51 pass attempts in his past two outings against Denver and Philadelphia. He's only played one game at home this season (Week 2 against the Giants), and Stafford scored 34.9 Fantasy points. This week, we could get a shootout against the Bills, who are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. C.J. Stroud, Jared Goff and Drake Maye each scored at least 20.5 Fantasy points against Buffalo, with Goff and Maye going over 32 Fantasy points. That's the expectation I have for Stafford, who should be in a potential shootout with Josh Allen since this game has a projected total score of 53.5 points. I'm excited to see how good Stafford can be in Week 5, and he should have one of his best games of the season against Buffalo at home.

  Stafford completed 32 of 51 passes for 317 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Eagles. He also rushed three times for 10 yards. Stafford was picked off twice in the first half as the Rams took a 20-10 deficit into the locker room. The veteran QB didn't throw a touchdown pass in the return of top target Puka Nacua (hip) from a two-game absence, but Stafford led a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown drives culminating in Kyren Williams rushing scores as the Rams produced 14 unanswered points in the final four minutes to improve to 2-2. Stafford takes an underwhelming 6:6 TD:INT into a Week 5 home game against the Bills.

  Stafford is hot heading into Week 4 at Philadelphia, and he should have another quality outing against the Eagles. I like him as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues. He has scored at least 24.9 Fantasy points in each of his past two games against the Giants and Broncos, and he has combined for 717 passing yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions over that span. The Eagles have allowed all three quarterbacks this season to score at least 20 Fantasy points against Jayden Daniels, Cam Ward and Case Keenum. Daniels and Keenum each had two passing touchdowns (Ward ran for two touchdowns), and Stafford should have multiple passing scores as well, especially if Puka Nacua (hip) is able to play.

  Stafford completed 30 of 55 passes for 390 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 30-26 loss to the Broncos. He also rushed twice for 13 yards. Stafford guided the Rams to a 16-0 halftime lead courtesy of a five-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Higbee followed by three Harrison Mevis field goals. LA's lead was erased in the third quarter, and after retaking the lead in the fourth, Stafford threw a disastrous pick-six that Talanoa Hufanga took 66 yards to the house to give the Broncos their first lead with 4:49 remaining. That pick-six was the 33rd Stafford has thrown in his regular-season career, surpassing Brett Favre for sole possession of first place in that dubious stat. Stafford was unfazed by that mistake and responded with a four-play, 77-yard touchdown drive, capped by a 48-yard touchdown pass to Konata Mumpfield, but Hufanga got the last laugh by picking off Stafford in the end zone on the game's final play to seal Denver's 30-26 victory. Stafford has posted gaudy numbers over the last two games despite playing without top wide receiver Puka Nacua (hip), whom the Rams are hoping to get back in Week 4 at Philadelphia.
