Mark Williams C | PHO
Suns' Mark Williams: Plans to sign three-year deal
Williams (foot) plans to sign a three-year, $38 million contract to remain with the Suns, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Williams averaged a double-double in his final season in Charlotte. While his production dropped in his first year with the Suns in 2025-26, he still averaged 11.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals across 23.6 minutes. Without question, the 24-year-old is a talented player, though injuries have kept him off the floor more often than not. It's unknown if Williams will remain the Suns' starting center in 2026-27. However, even though Oso Ighodaro, Khaman Maluach and Rasheer Fleming have shown flashes of promise, they still aren't as skilled as Williams when healthy.

Jericho Sims C | MIL
Bucks' Jericho Sims: Plans to pick up player option
Sims plans to exercise his $2.8 million player option for next season, per Michael Scotto of USA Today.
Now that Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Bobby Portis have been traded, Sims' presence at center perhaps becomes even more pronounced for the Bucks. Sims averaged 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 points and 0.6 assists in 11.9 minutes per contest across 53 regular-season games in 2025-26. With Myles Turner (ankle) rumored in trade talks as well, Sims' fantasy outlook remains difficult to forecast this summer.

Domantas Sabonis C | SAC
Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Hoping to rebound in 2026-27
Sabonis (knee) has a new pick-and-roll partner after the Kings chose Darius Acuff with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
With Russell Westbrook, an unrestricted free agent this offseason, seizing Sacramento's top spot at point guard a year ago, Sabonis saw a decrease in both usage and efficiency. The star big man averaged 15.8 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 29.7 minutes per tilt, all his lowest marks since 2018-19, before undergoing season-ending knee surgery. Sacramento appears ready to go in a different direction at the point, which could work to Sabonis' benefit in 2026-27.

Ryan Kalkbrenner C | CHA
Hornets' Ryan Kalkbrenner: Frontcourt becomes crowded
Kalkbrenner could face increased competition for frontcourt minutes after Charlotte acquired Naz Reid as part of the LaMelo Ball trade, according to Cholo Magsino of Yahoo Sports.
The second-year center enters a rotation that already includes Reid, Moussa Diabate and other young big men competing for reserve roles, including 2026 lottery pick Hannes Steinbach. While Kalkbrenner's rim protection and interior defense should help him earn opportunities, his playing time could be volatile based on matchups. His long-term outlook remains promising, but consistent minutes may not be as straightforward as originally thought.

Xavier Tillman C | CHA
Xavier Tillman: Headed to Turkey
Tillman signed a deal overseas with a Turkish Club on Wednesday, John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
The forward made a combined 30 regular-season appearances between the Hornets and Celtics last season for an average of 6.1 minutes per contest. Still only 27, a return to the NBA could be on the table down the road.

Rudy Gobert C | MIN
Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Could see uptick in value
Gobert should benefit from sharing the floor with one of the league's best passers in LaMelo Ball, according to Cholo Magsino of Yahoo Sports.
Minnesota's lack of a traditional point guard had occasionally limited Gobert's offensive opportunities, and Ball's pick-and-roll ability could help maximize the veteran center's efficiency. However, the departures of Naz Reid and Julius Randle may place additional frontcourt responsibilities on Gobert entering his age-34 season, as Jaden McDaniels is now expected to start at power forward.

Ernest Udeh Jr. C | CLE
Cavaliers' Ernest Udeh: Signs two-way deal with Cleveland
Udeh signed a two-way contract with the Cavaliers on Wednesday, according to NCAA reporter Vince Wolfram.
Udeh is a 6-11 standout center out of Miami. During his senior season with the Hurricanes, he produced averages of 6.7 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 28.2 minutes per contest while hitting 72.7 percent from the field.

Al Horford C | GS
Warriors' Al Horford: To remain in Golden State
Horford intends to sign a two-year, $14 million contract with the Warriors, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Horford will decline his player option in order to re-sign for another couple of years. The 40-year-old becomes the 13th player in NBA history to reach 20 seasons with this move. Just like 2025-26, it's likely that Horford plays a modest role with plenty of maintenance during the regular season. That includes sitting out one game of back-to-back sets.
-
Naz Reid C | CHA
Hornets' Naz Reid: Traded to Charlotte
The Timberwolves traded Reid, three first-round pick swaps, three second-round pick swaps and a 2033 unprotected first-round pick to the Hornets on Thursday in exchange for LaMelo Ball and Josh Green, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Minnesota has now moved on from Reid and Julius Randle this offseason, with the former heading to another crowded frontcourt. Reid has averaged at least 13 points and five assists while shooting 36 percent from three in each of his past two seasons. Currently, he's slated for another reserve role, but Miles Bridges has been in the rumor mill this offseason, so Charlotte may not be done making moves.

Rafael Castro PF | LAL
Bucks' Rafael Castro: Inks two-way pact with Milwaukee
Castro agreed to a two-way contract with the Bucks on Wednesday, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Castro will join the Bucks on a two-way pact, meaning he will likely spend most of his time with their G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. Over 29 starts for George Washington in 2025-26, the 23-year-old big man averaged 15.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 assists across 27.3 minutes per game.
