  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Title-clinching board in Game 5 win

Robinson closed Saturday's 94-90 victory over the Spurs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals with two points (1-2 FG, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists across 20 minutes. Robinson's traditional box score numbers will not jump off the page, and his offensive limitations remained a glaring issue as he finished the championship series averaging just 3.6 points while shooting an abysmal 26.7 percent from the free-throw line. However, the 28-year-old center completely changed the complexion of Game 5 with his high-motor activity on the glass, pulling down 10 boards in just 20 minutes off the bench.None were more impactful than his final offensive rebound of the season. With the Knicks holding a slim lead and just 25 seconds remaining on the clock, Josh Hart missed a crucial free throw. Robinson immediately out-muscled the San Antonio frontcourt to snatch the live ball, resetting the possession and forcing the Spurs to foul again, effectively wrapping up the title for New York. Robinson closed a gritty postseason run averaging 5.6 rebounds (3.0 offensive) and 0.6 blocks in 13.4 minutes per game across the Finals, solidifying his role as the team's ultimate dirty-work specialist.

Robinson (finger) is listed as available for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Spurs on Monday. • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Cleared to play in Game 2

Robinson (finger) is available to play in Game 2 of the NBA Finals versus the Spurs on Friday. Robinson was diagnosed with a fractured metacarpal in his right hand heading into the series. However, despite uncertainty regarding his availability, he was cleared to suit up for Game 1, finishing with two points and six rebounds across 13 minutes. Robinson will presumably carry an injury designation throughout the remainder of the NBA Finals, though he will likely continue playing through the issue assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks along the way.

Robinson (finger) is probable for Game 2 of the NBA Finals versus San Antonio on Friday. Robinson is expected to play through a fractured right finger Friday, which he also did during New York's Game 1 win. The 28-year-old big man has averaged 5.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in 14.1 minutes per contest through 14 games in the 2026 playoffs, shooting 72.5 percent from the field.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Cleared to play in Game 1

Robinson (finger) will play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals versus San Antonio on Wednesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Robinson is dealing with a fractured metacarpal in his right hand, though it won't keep him off the floor to begin the series. The 28-year-old has averaged 5.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.6 blocks and 0.5 steals across 14.2 minutes throughout the postseason. Although Robinson hasn't seen consistent action during the playoffs, he may need to be more involved moving ahead if the Knicks have trouble keeping Victor Wembanyama and company off the glass.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Iffy for Game 1

Robinson (finger) is questionable for Wednesday's Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Spurs, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports. Robinson sustained a broken right pinky finger Thursday and underwent surgery, though he participated in Tuesday's practice and was seen shooting with the injured hand, according to Joe Vardon of The Athletic. Shams Charania of ESPN reported Friday that the big man is pushing to play in Game 1, and the Knicks will likely evaluate him closer to tipoff before making a final decision on his status. If Robinson is unable to suit up, Ariel Hukporti and Mohamed Diawara would be candidates to enter the rotation behind Karl-Anthony Towns.

Robinson, who underwent surgery on his broken right pinky, fully intends to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Across 13 playoff games, Robinson is averaging 5.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 14.2 minutes per contest.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Suffers broken pinky

Robinson (finger) was diagnosed with a broken right pinky Thursday, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports. He is without a return timetable. Robinson averaged 4.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks across 13.3 minutes during the Eastern Conference Finals versus Cleveland. Despite the injury, it appears the door isn't shut regarding Robinson's potential return at some point during the NBA Finals, although the Knicks may be forced to play small-ball lineups or allow Ariel Hukporti to see more action.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Grabs 10 boards in win

Robinson racked up eight points (4-6 FG, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds and one steal across 18 minutes during Monday's 130-93 victory over the Cavaliers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Robinson pulled down a postseason-high 10 rebounds, once again providing the Knicks with a solid secondary center option. Although his numbers have been nothing special, his impact cannot be ignored. His energy and tenacity, particularly on the offensive end, often result in a New York basket. Look for Robinson to continue playing a meaningful role through the NBA Finals, given the size of both potential Western Conference foes.

Robinson (illness) will play in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the 76ers on Friday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Robinson (illness) is questionable Wednesday for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the 76ers. • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Tossed from Game 6

Robinson was ejected from Thursday's Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Hawks after being involved in an altercation, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. He'll end the night with six points (3-3 FG), three rebounds and two blocks in nine minutes. Robinson got tangled up with Dyson Daniels down the stretch of the second quarter, and both players were tossed after the play was reviewed. It was a turbulent Game 6 for Robinson, who briefly departed in the first quarter with an apparent injury and was then ejected with a few minutes remaining in the half. The Knicks had gotten out to a comfortable 72-22 lead at the time of Robinson's ejection, so his absence the rest of the way shouldn't impact the outcome of the game.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Grabs eight boards in win

Robinson posted six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 15 minutes during Saturday's 114-98 win over the Hawks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Robinson logged no more than 15 minutes for the third time in the past four games, continuing to offer limited production on both ends of the floor. With Atlanta paper-thin when it comes to the center spot, Robinson's size is simply not needed as much as usual. While he should remain a constant piece of the rotation, it is unlikely he will playing a sizeable role, at least not during the current series.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Limited in Game 1 victory

Robinson registered three points (1-1 FG, 1-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 14 minutes during Saturday's 113-102 win over the Hawks in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Robinson played just 14 minutes, a slightly reduced role, as New York opted to run with some smaller lineups. Given that the Hawks don't really have a viable backup center, there is a chance Robinson will continue to be used sparingly, assuming Karl-Anthony Towns can stay out of foul trouble.

  • Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Headed to bench

Hukporti will come off the bench for Saturday's Game 1 against the Hawks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Karl-Anthony Towns (elbow) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) skipped the Knicks' regular-season finale, but both those guys will be back in action Saturday, which could make it tough for Hukporti to get into the rotation. As a reserve this season, Hukporti has averaged 1.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Set to be available for Game 1

Robinson (ankle) participated in Friday's practice, per Steve Popper of Newsday. Although Robinson missed New York's final two contests of the regular season, all signs point toward him being available for Game 1 on Saturday versus the Hawks. The 28-year-old big man finished the 2025-26 campaign with averages of 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 19.6 minutes per tilt over 60 games, shooting 72.3 percent from the floor.
