Giants' Logan Webb: Grabs win in finale

Webb (15-11) earned the win in Sunday's 4-0 victory over the Rockies, allowing just three hits over 5.1 scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

Webb was solid down the stretch, posting a 2.87 ERA in his last nine outings (53.1 innings). The right-hander wrapped up the season on a high note, as he matched a career high with his 15th win. Webb will finish another strong campaign with a 3.22 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and a career-best 224 strikeouts across 34 starts (207 innings).

  • JP Sears SP | SD

Padres' JP Sears: Recalled ahead of start

The Padres recalled Sears from Triple-A El Paso ahead of his scheduled start Sunday versus the Diamondbacks in San Diego.

San Diego optioned lefty Kyle Hart to the minors to clear room on the 28-man active roster for Sears. The southpaw isn't expected to be included on the Padres' postseason roster, as he was called up Sunday to afford the other members of the rotation some extra rest in advance of the wild-card series with the Cubs.

  • Logan Evans RP | SEA

Mariners' Logan Evans: Sent down Sunday

The Mariners optioned Evans to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Sunday.

Evans threw three innings of one-run ball out of the bullpen in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Dodgers in his return from the injured list in what marked his first career relief appearance in the majors. The 24-year-old put up a 4.32 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 59:31 K:BB over 81.1 spanning 16 appearances (15 starts) as a rookie during the regular season.

  • Andrew Heaney RP | LAD

Dodgers' Andrew Heaney: Booted from active roster

The Dodgers optioned Heaney to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Heaney had his contract selected Saturday and threw two innings of relief in his team debut, allowing three earned runs on four hits and one walk. Since Heaney wouldn't have been available for Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Mariners, the Dodgers opted to call up Landon Knack from Triple-A to provide a fresh arm in the bullpen.

  • Landon Knack SP | LAD

Dodgers' Landon Knack: Summoned from Triple-A

The Dodgers recalled Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Knack will join the active roster for the final game of the regular season Sunday in Seattle after lefty Andrew Heaney was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. The 27-year-old right-hander has appeared in nine games for the Dodgers in 2025, making seven starts and posting a 5.12 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP across 38.2 innings.

  • Angels' Sam Aldegheri: Gets nod for season finale

Aldegheri is slated to start Sunday's game against the Astros in Anaheim.

He'll take a second straight turn through the rotation to close out the season after he was dealt a loss Tuesday against the Royals last week. Through three appearances (one start) with the Angels this season, the young southpaw has allowed eight earned runs on 13 hits and seven walks while striking out seven over nine innings.

  • Sean Burke P | CHW

White Sox's Sean Burke: Strikes out 10 in bulk role

Burke did not factor into the decision Saturday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk across 4.1 relief innings. He struck out 10.

Working in a bulk role, Burke logged a season-high 10 punchouts while allowing just a pair of runs on a Daylen Lile homer. The 25-year-old Burke was solid down the stretch, posting a 3.65 ERA over his last three appearances (12.1 innings). He'll finish the year at 4-11 with a 4.29 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 133 strikeouts across 134.1 innings.

  • Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD

Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Available in relief for NLWC

Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Glasnow will be available out of the bullpen during the National League Wild Card Series, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Glasnow threw just 36 pitches in his final start of the regular season Saturday, saving his arm for the wild-card round that starts Tuesday. The Dodgers will deploy Glasnow out of the bullpen after the veteran right-hander started in all 18 of his appearances during the regular season. Glasnow posted a 3.19 ERA and a 106:43 K:BB across 90.1 innings.

  • Nick Lodolo SP | CIN

Reds' Nick Lodolo: Could be available in 'pen Sunday

Lodolo (groin) is expected to throw pitches from a bullpen mound Sunday and could be available in relief for the Reds' regular-season finale against the Brewers later that day, MLB.com reports.

Though Brady Singer is scheduled to start for the Reds, Lodolo may be called upon to cover an inning or two in relief while Cincinnati takes an all-hands-on-deck approach in a game that will decide the final NL wild-card spot. The Reds and the Mets enter Game 162 tied, but Cincinnati owns the tiebreaker and will clinch a spot with a win or a Mets loss to the Marlins.

  • Michael King RP | SD

Padres' Michael King: Abbreviated outing in no-decision

King did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Diamondbacks, allowing one hit and two walks with three strikeouts over 2.2 scoreless innings.

King generated seven whiffs on 49 pitches in his final regular-season outing as the Padres gear up to face the Cubs in the wild-card round. The 30-year-old posted a 5.74 ERA over four starts since returning from the injured list Sept. 9, though much of that damage came in an eight-run blowup against the Mets three turns ago. He'll wrap up an injury-plagued season with a 3.44 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 76:26 K:BB over 73.1 innings, while his role for the postseason remains unsettled.
