Estes allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out one over six innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Friday.

Estes was tagged for six runs over 2.2 innings in his previous start at Minnesota, but he responded with his second quality start in eight outings this season. The downside was his single strikeout, which was a season low for the right-hander. He's now at a 5.53 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB over 40.2 innings. Estes is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Angels.

Herz allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits over 3.2 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out five during a win over the Rockies.

All four runs against Herz came on three homers as he stumbled in his first career appearance at Coors Field. Entering Friday's start, he'd given up only one long ball through 14.1 innings to begin his MLB tenure. Herz fired a 13-strikeout quality start against Miami on June 15 but has totaled just 12 innings in his other three outings. He's sporting a 4.50 ERA with a strong 26:5 K:BB through 18 innings. Herz is in line for a start in San Diego next week.

Hudson (2-10) allowed eight runs on 11 hits and two walks over three-plus innings while taking a loss against the Nationals on Friday.

Hudson kept Washington scoreless for two innings before an ugly five-run third inning. The Nationals piled on four more runs in the fourth, with three of them being charged to Hudson. He's lost three straight starts while posting a 7.20 ERA during that stretch, bumping his season ERA to 5.63 through 76.2 frames. Friday's performance was his shortest outing of the year and the most runs he's allowed in a start. Hudson's next matchup is expected to come on the road against the White Sox.

Sandoval exited Friday's start against the Dodgers with left forearm tightness.

Sandoval was pulled abruptly in the third inning after issuing a walk to Shohei Ohtani. A timeline for Sandoval's return isn't available, but it would come as a significant surprise if he doesn't land on the injured list.

Singer yielded a run on three hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out four during a loss to Texas.

Singer turned in three scoreless frames before Wyatt Langford knocked an RBI double in the fourth inning. It was the only damage against Singer through five innings, but the Royals bullpen would go on to allow five runs in the sixth and cost him a win. It was his first start without allowing a homer since May 19; in his previous four outings, he was taken deep six times, resulting in a 5.31 ERA. Singer lowered his season ERA to 3.29 with an 80:25 K:BB through 82 frames. He's in line for a home start against the Marlins next week.

Sandoval left Friday's start against the Dodgers with an apparent injury, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Sandoval walked Shohei Ohtani in the third inning and motioned to the dugout immediately afterward. He exited the game with trainers, though the exact nature of the issue remains unclear.

Eovaldi (4-3) yielded two runs on four hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Royals.

Eovaldi coughed up a solo shot to Kyle Isbel in the third inning and gave up one other run in the fifth. Since returning from the injured list, Eovaldi has produced a 4.01 ERA while going 2-1 through five starts, turning in two quality starts in his last three outings. He forced 15 whiffs Friday, his best total since April 20. The veteran righty owns a 3.14 ERA with a 70:25 K:BB through 66 innings this season. Eovaldi's next start is lined up to come in Baltimore.

Silseth (elbow) allowed five earned runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two across 4.2 innings in a rehab outing with Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

The surface stats aren't encouraging for Silseth, but he built up to 92 pitches. The Angels were originally expected to activate him and insert him back into the rotation this past Wednesday against the Athletics, but the big club ultimately had him make one more tune-up outing in the minors. After another poor showing Friday, Silseth has now allowed 14 earned runs across 12.1 frames with Salt Lake. The underwhelming results could cause the Angels to reassess his role in the short term, as he might be activated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A once his 30-day rehab window draws to a close.

Bloss exited Friday's game against Baltimore after 3.2 innings due to right shoulder discomfort, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Bloss was making his big-league debut and had allowed two earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out two prior to suffering the injury. It's unclear if he'll be available for a potential next turn through the rotation, or if the Astros plan to keep him on the big-league roster.

Rodriguez (0-2) yielded five runs (four earned) on two hits and three walks over 1.1 innings Friday, striking out one batter and taking a loss against the Guardians.

Rodriguez began his outing with a scoreless inning before Cleveland racked up seven runs in the second frame. It was his first appearance since April 29 due to a back injury. His season ERA jumped from 4.11 to 5.94 through 16.2 innings. The 27-year-old righty is lined up to make his next appearance in Boston next week, but his spot in the rotation seems far from secure. Rodriguez has yet to complete more than four innings in a start this season.
