Cueto (0-2) took the loss against the Tigers on Tuesday, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk with five strikeouts over five innings.

Cueto was locked in a 2-2 game through four innings but then surrendered three home runs and was pulled without recording an out in the sixth. In two starts with the Angels, the veteran has allowed nine earned runs across 11.1 innings while posting a 6:3 K:BB. He tentatively lines up to face the Mariners at home Sunday.

Cantillo was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Cantillo's demotion was expected after he served as the 27th man in Monday's doubleheader versus the Royals. He's pitched to a 7.71 ERA over 18.2 innings in the majors this year. With an off day Thursday, the Guardians may be able to get by with a four-man rotation until Alex Cobb (fingernail) is ready to return, which means Cantillo could be staying at Triple-A for a while.

Quantrill allowed four runs on seven hits and five walks while striking out two over 5.2 innings to take a no-decision versus the Marlins on Tuesday.

The five walks matched his season high. Quantrill exited in line for the win, but the Rockies' ninth-inning collapse denied him his ninth victory. The veteran right-hander has allowed 25 runs (24 earned) over 35.2 innings since the All-Star break, and he's posted a 25:18 K:BB in that span. He's now at a 4.63 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 103:57 K:BB through 138 innings over 26 starts this year. Quantrill's next start is projected to be at home this weekend versus the Orioles.

Munoz allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout over 1.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Munoz had given up eight homers over his last six starts, so a visit to the thin air of Colorado was a recipe for disaster. He gave up back-to-back home runs to begin the first inning and then allowed another in the second. The Marlins' ninth-inning rally spared him the loss, but Munoz continues to look overmatched in the majors. He's allowed at least three runs in five straight starts and now has a 6.53 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 70:42 K:BB through 82.2 innings over 18 appearances (17 starts) this season. He's also given up 26 homers, making him one of two pitchers this year to have allowed 20 or more long balls in fewer than 100 innings, along with Cleveland's Logan Allen. Munoz is tentatively projected to make his next start at San Francisco.

Myers allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Tuesday.

Myers allowed solo home runs to Matt Chapman and Grant McCray. He left the game on the hook for the loss, but Myers was bailed out by Willy Adames putting the Brewers briefly ahead with a two-run homer in the sixth. August has been just okay for Myers, who has allowed 10 runs (eight earned) over 27 innings this month, though he's pitched into the sixth inning in just two of his five starts in that span. He's now at a 2.99 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 94:28 K:BB over 108.1 innings through 21 appearances (20 starts). The rookie right-hander's next start is projected to be in Cincinnati.

Webb allowed four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Tuesday.

Webb gave up two-run home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames. This was the first time in seven starts Webb has given up a homer, and the first time all year he's allowed multiple long balls. He also allowed more than two runs for the first time in six starts. Webb is now at a 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 150:44 K:BB through 177.2 innings over 28 starts this year. The right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Marlins.

Steele (5-5) earned the win Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Both runs scored in the opening frame, as Pittsburgh sent seven batters to the plate while Steele labored through 19 pitches. However, the 29-year-old cruised through the next four innings, not allowing a runner to reach second. With this 93-pitch performance, the Chicago southpaw collected his fifth win in his last 10 starts. Over that span, he has pitched to a 2.97 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 61:18 K:BB across 57.2 innings. Steele is currently slated to face the Pirates again in his upcoming turn in the rotation next week.

Jones (5-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out four.

The Pittsburgh right-hander looked rusty in his return from a lat injury, pitching in the big leagues for the first time since July 3. Jones allowed multiple home runs for just the fourth time out of 17 starts this season, yielding two-run long balls to Seiya Suzuki and Dansby Swanson. If looking for a silver lining in this 83-pitch outing, it is that Jones' velocity appeared healthy, as he averaged 97.2 mph on his fastball (compared to 97.3 mph on the season). The rookie flamethrower will look to bounce back in his next start, currently lined up as a rematch against the Cubs in Chicago next week.

Spence did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 5-4 win against the Reds, allowing one run on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Spence generated only six swinging strikes on 84 pitches but limited the Reds to just one extra-base hit. The 26-year-old has been inconsistent in his past 10 starts, yielding two earned runs or fewer in six outings but surrendering 19 total earned runs in his other four. On the year, he owns a 4.54 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 100:38 K:BB across 121 innings and lines up to face the Rangers on Sunday.

Corbin (4-12) earned the win Tuesday against the Yankees, pitching six scoreless innings while allowing two hits and two walks. He struck out six.

With this 104-pitch effort, the 35-year-old has posted consecutive wins for the first time since Aug. 2023. Corbin generated a convincing 13 whiffs en route to his six punchouts, as the Yankees lineup was flummoxed by his slider and sinker, which caused five swings and misses apiece. Despite another rough year from the veteran southpaw, he was serviceable in August while going 2-1 with a 3.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 24:9 K:BB in 26.1 innings across five starts. Corbin is tentatively scheduled to make his first start of September against the Marlins in Miami next week.
