Perez is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Twins, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Perez was on track to start Monday's series opener in Minnesota before the game was postponed due to safety concerns. The Red Sox won't alter their pitching schedule as a result of the postponement, as all five members of the rotation will likely just get pushed back a day.

Garcia allowed two hits and one walk while striking out seven over 4.1 scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 6-2 loss to Detroit.

This was the second appearance of the season for Garcia, who started for the Astros on April 5; off days since then have obviated the team's need for a fifth starter. He may transition into a relief role going forward. With Jake Odorizzi ready to make his season debut Tuesday and more off days ahead, the Astros won't need a fifth starter until April 24. At that point, Cristian Javier, who was sent to the alternate camp to get his work in, could rejoin the rotation.

Bassitt (1-2) allowed two runs on two hits and five walks over five innings against the Diamondbacks on Monday, striking out four and garnering his first win of the season.

Bassitt surrendered both of his runs in the third inning after issuing back-to-back walks and allowing both baserunners to score via a single and sac fly. The five free passes were the most he's allowed in a game since May of 2019, and he's come out of the gates with an 11:8 K:BB in his first three outings of the year. The positives from Monday are that he only allowed two hits and was able to keep the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard for the majority of his start. He'll look to show better control when he makes his next start against the Tigers on Sunday.

Quantrill pitched two innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out one during Monday's 4-3 loss to the White Sox.

Quantrill worked the sixth and seventh innings. He wasn't at his best, but the right-hander didn't let his mistakes pile up. The 26-year-old has seen time as a starter in 2019, but he worked mostly as a reliever in 2020 and appears set to continue in that role this year. He hasn't allowed a run in three innings over two appearances to start 2021, and he's posted three strikeouts.

Mize (1-0) allowed four hits and two walks over seven scoreless in a win over the Astros on Monday. He struck out five.

The 23-year-old outpitched 37-year-old Zack Greinke by a wide margin, blanking one of the American League's top offenses over seven. Mize only induced six swinging strikes on 89 pitches, but he has added a couple ticks to his fastball this season and the arrow is trending upward after this performance. He will look to keep it going this weekend in Oakland.

Greinke (1-1) allowed six runs on 10 hits -- including three home runs -- over 4.2 innings in a loss to the Tigers on Monday. He struck out two and walked three batters.

Greinke was not happy with his slider and even suggested to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com that he could table the pitch. "I don't ever want to throw it again after today," Greinke said. "It was bad." Opponents have hit close to .300 against his slider the past two years, so he may be on to something, but Greinke should not feel the need to tweak his formula too much. He had a 1.38 ERA in his first two starts of 2021. Up next is a road start in Seattle.

Singer (0-2) was charged with four runs (one earned) on seven hits over five innings in a loss to the Angels on Monday. He struck out six and did not issue a walk.

Errors kept most of the runs off Singer's personal ledger, although it was Singer himself who committed one of the throwing errors in the second inning. Singer has an unsightly 6.48 ERA through two starts this season, but his 11:3 K:BB in 8.1 innings is encouraging. He lines up for a home start against the Blue Jays this weekend.

Glasnow (1-0) picked up the win Monday, allowing two hits and a walk over 7.2 scoreless innings while striking out a career-high 14 in a 1-0 victory over the Rangers.

Per Adam Berry of MLB.com, the right-hander produced a stunning 27 swings and misses, the most of any Tampa Bay hurler in a game since pitch tracking began in 2008, and Glasnow's 7.2 innings was also a career high. He'll take a dazzling 0.46 ERA and 29:3 K:BB through 19.2 innings into his next outing, set for Saturday on the road against the Yankees.

Cobb (1-0) allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings in a win over the Royals on Monday.

Cobb had been pushed back a day due to a rainout, which may have been a blessing as Cobb was said to be managing a blister at the end of last week. He showed no ill effects Monday, getting 19 swinging strikes on 97 pitches. The right-hander has followed in Dylan Bundy's path and is off to a great start with the Angels after finally getting out of Baltimore. With Shohei Ohtani (finger) looking unlikely to start a game on the mound this week, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register, Cobb projects to take the ball this weekend at home against Minnesota.

Dunning didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 1-0 loss to the Rays, giving up two hits and two walks over four scoreless innings. He struck out five.

After going five innings in his first start of the year, Dunning got the hook a little earlier in this one but still dueled Tyler Glasnow to a standstill for four frames. Dunning tossed 71 pitches (44 strikes), which seems to be about his limit for now in the Rangers' tandem arrangement, and the right-hander will carry a 1.00 ERA and 11:2 K:BB through nine IP into his next start, set for Saturday at home against the Orioles.
