Bubic (6-6) allowed two hits and a walk with six strikeouts in seven innings to earn the win over Detroit on Sunday.

The southpaw hit a season-high in innings pitched in what was his best start of the year. Bubic is ending the year on a high note, as he hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his last five appearances. He's posted a 4.52 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 109:59 K:BB across 123.1 innings overall. Bubic is projected to make his last start of the season versus Minnesota next weekend.

Blackburn got a no-decision in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Astros, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with one strikeout in five innings.

Blackburn didn't permit a runner past second base until the fifth inning, when he surrendered his only run on three straight two-out singles. The outing was only Blackburn's second allowing fewer than two runs in eight starts since the beginning of August, and he's yet to go six innings in any appearance. He projects to take the hill a final time against Houston next weekend.

McKenzie (5-8) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks over 2.1 innings Sunday, striking out three and taking a loss against the White Sox.

McKenzie allowed a run in the first inning but really stumbled in the third. The first five White Sox batters of that inning reached base, including Eloy Jimenez, who drove in two runs with a single. After a seven-start stretch as one of the hottest pitchers in the league, the rookie has been crushed for 10 runs over 6.2 frames in his last two appearances. McKenzie now owns a 4.81 ERA and 134:54 KBB through 116 innings. He's tentatively lined up to face the Rangers on the road next weekend.

Giolito (11-9) allowed five hits and a walk over six scoreless frames Sunday, striking out six and earning a win over Cleveland.

Giolito threw 62 of 100 pitches for strikes and never faced a serious threat in his second straight win, allowing just one extra-base hit. The 27-year-old righty is 3-1 over his last eight outings with a 2.42 ERA. Sunday marked his first time completing at least six innings since Aug. 25 and he lowered his season ERA to 3.58 through 173.2 frames. Giolito is lined up to face Detroit at home next weekend, although the White Sox could always reshuffle their rotation ahead of the postseason.

Baz (2-0) allowed three hits and a walk over 5.2 scoreless innings Sunday, striking out nine and earning a win over the Marlins.

Baz started the game with three perfect frames and didn't let a Marlin reach scoring position until the sixth inning. The right-handed rookie has looked strong in his first two MLB appearances, registering a 14:1 K:BB with a 1.69 ERA through 10.2 innings. Baz is lined up to take on the Yankees in New York next weekend.

Ryu (neck) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list and start Tuesday versus the Yankees, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

Manager Charlie Montoyo is confident the verteran will make his return Tuesday as the Blue Jays chase an AL Wild Card spot. The 34-year-old last pitched Sept. 17 against the Twins, surrendering five runs in two innings pitched. Over his last five starts, he has struggled to a 10.07 ERA in 19.2 innings.

Seabold left his start for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday in the third inning and was checked out by a team trainer, Joe McDonald of the Worcester Telegram reports.

Seabold presumably suffered some sort of injury, the nature and severity of which are not yet clear. He made his major-league debut in mid-September but was sent down after just a single start, so any potential injury likely won't have a significant impact on the Red Sox over the final week of the season.

Taillon (ankle) is lined up to start Tuesday's game against Toronto, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

Taillon has missed just shy of three weeks with an ankle issue. If he does wind up returning Tuesday as expected, he'd have the possibility of a two-start week to end the season, as he'd be on turn to start Sunday's season finale against the Rays.

Lynn (10-6) was tagged with the loss Sunday against Cleveland after allowing six runs on seven hits -- including two home runs -- while fanning six across six innings.

Lynn has been hit-or-miss of late; he has given up six or more runs in two of his last four appearances, though at the same time, he's allowed one or fewer runs in four of his last six contests. The veteran hurler owns a 3.86 ERA across 16.1 innings through three starts this month.

Odorizzi (foot) was activated from the 10-day injured list, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports. He will start Sunday's game against Oakland.

As expected, the veteran righty comes off the IL to start the series finale in Oakland. His injury, labeled right foot soreness, proved to be minor and he should have no limitations (apart from his typically short leash) in the outing. Odorizzi fills the roster spot of Seth Martinez, whom the Astros optioned to the taxi squad Sunday.
