Wacha (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Wacha landed on the 15-day injured list last week with shoulder inflammation, so his quick return to mound work is an encouraging sign. The veteran right-hander will be eligible to be reinstated shortly after the All-Star break, and it's possible he's able to do so without the need for a minor-league rehab assignment.

Hill (knee) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Thursday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

The veteran left-hander returned to throwing off flat ground last week after a brief shutdown due to the knee sprain, and he'll progress to mound work Thursday. Hill landed on the shelf July 2 with the injury, and it's unclear if he'll require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the Red Sox's rotation after the All-Star break.

Skubal (6-8) allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits across six innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Royals. He had no walks and struck out five.

Skubal allowed two runs across six innings in his last start five days ago, but Wednesday's outing was more in line with other recent results. The lefty has now allowed four earned runs or more in his five of his last eight starts. During that stretch, Skubal has seen his ERA climb from 2.15 to 4.11. His early-season success seems to be a distant memory, but he'll look to revert back to that form in his next scheduled appearance July 21 against the Athletics following the All-Star break.

Stripling (5-3) earned the win Wednesday after he tossed seven innings, surrendering two runs (zero earned) on two hits while striking out six against the Phillies.

Stripling pitched six scoreless innings before giving up a two run homer to Bryson Stott in the top of the seventh inning. Both runs were unearned though because Rhys Hoskins reached on a throwing error to open the frame. It was the first time in six starts that he did not walk a batter and he now has three quality starts this season. Since joining the starting rotation June 6, the right-hander has produced a 2.13 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with 32 strikeouts over 42.1 innings in eight starts.

Severino was diagnosed with right shoulder tightness after being removed from Wednesday's start against the Reds, and he'll undergo an MRI on Thursday.

The 28-year-old exited prior to the third inning of Wednesday's contest after tossing a couple warmup pitches. Severino allowed four runs over two innings -- including three straight home runs -- prior to leaving the game, but the overriding concern at this point is the status of the oft-injured right-hander's shoulder.

Severino was removed from Wednesday's start against the Reds with an apparent injury, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Severino surrendered back-to-back-to-back home runs during the second inning, and he was lifted before the third frame after throwing a couple warmup pitches. The specifics of the situation remain unclear, but the Yankees figures to update his status in the near future.

Civale was removed from Wednesday's start against the White Sox due to right wrist soreness, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Civale allowed two hits and had a strikeout during a scoreless first inning before leaving with the injury. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but the 27-year-old will have some extra time to recover since his next start isn't expected to come until after the All-Star break.

Montas (shoulder) won't pitch against the Astros this weekend and will instead throw two side session before rejoining the Athletics' rotation for the first game of the second half July 21, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Rosenthal reported earlier Wednesday that the right-hander would pitch Saturday or Sunday in Houston, but this latest news confirms a change of plan. Montas hasn't seen game action since leaving his start in Seattle on July 3 after one inning, and it appears the shoulder soreness will sideline him until after the All-Star break.

Singer (4-3) earned the win Wednesday against the Tigers after giving up one run on seven hits with six strikeouts and five walks over six innings. He'll be placed on the restricted list Thursday since he cannot enter Canada due to his vaccination status, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander had traffic on the bases all day, and Harold Castro's sacrifice fly during the first inning was all Detroit was able to muster off him. Having already made his final start before the All-Star break, Singer's move to the restricted list won't affect Kansas City's starting rotation. Regardless, he won't travel or be paid for the four-game set against the Blue Jays.

Keller is unable to travel with the Royals to Canada for the four-game series against the Blue Jays due to his vaccination status, so he'll be placed on the restricted list Thursday ahead of the series opener, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Keller lined up to make one final start before the All-Star break this weekend, but he won't be able to join the team in Toronto. The 27-year-old finished the first half with a 3.96 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 67:32 K:BB across 97.2 innings, and he should take the mound in one of Kansas City's first couple games out of the break.
