Severino (lat) is expected to throw live batting practice Tuesday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Severino threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Monday, marking the first time he's thrown off a mound since July 14. He'll be cleared to face hitters early next week, and he'll likely be in consideration to begin a rehab assignment shortly after. The right-hander isn't eligible to return from the injured list until mid-September, but he appears to be trending in the right direction.

Arihara will make his next start with the Rangers on Sunday in Minnesota.

Arihara turned in a decent season debut Tuesday -- he struck out six while allowing three earned runs over 5.2 innings in a loss to Oakland -- and the coaching staff was satisfied enough with the 30-year-old's performance to hand him another turn through the rotation. He'll draw a much tougher matchup this time around, heading out to Target Field to face a Twins offense that ranks seventh in the majors this season with a 111 wRC+.

Rodriguez (personal) was activated from the restricted list Friday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

He is confirmed to start Sunday's game against the Angels. Rodriguez had a 1.29 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 22:3 K:BB in 14 innings across three rehab starts this month in the minors, most recently building up to six innings at Triple-A on Tuesday.

Dunning (3-6) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over six innings against the Athletics. He struck out four.

Dunning's only blemish came in the fourth inning when he allowed a two-out, two-run homer to Sheldon Neuse, which tied the game at 2-2. However, he got plenty of run support from the Rangers' offense and cruised to his third win of the season. The right-hander has been solid over his last nine starts (48 innings), allowing three or fewer earned runs in eight of those contests. The third-year pro's next start is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday in Colorado.

Garcia (10-8) allowed three earned runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out four across five innings to earn the win Thursday against the White Sox.

Garcia was gifted 10 runs of support from the Astros offense to earn his 10th win of the season. However, it was a forgettable outing, and he has now allowed three or more runs in five consecutive starts -- good for a 5.46 ERA in that span. The outing also inflated Garcia's ERA to 4.09 on the campaign, though he still has an impressive 127:39 K:BB across 123.1 frames.

Giolito (9-7) allowed seven earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts and one walk across three innings to take the loss Thursday against the Astros.

Giolito was hit hard throughout the outing. He surrendered a total of four extra-base hits and was tagged with at least seven earned runs in a start for the third time this season. Entering Thursday's appearance, Giolito had allowed more than three earned runs only once in his last four outings. Despite that solid stretch, Giolito has an ugly 5.34 ERA across 116.1 innings for the season.

Watkins (4-3) allowed one earned run on five hits and no walks while striking out two across 5.2 innings to take the loss Thursday against the Cubs.

Watkins pitched to contact and worked efficiently, allowing only a solo home run in his final inning of work to take the tough-luck loss. The strong effort was needed, as entering Thursday's start Watkins had given up 11 earned runs across his last 19.2 innings, covering a span of four outings. Despite posting only a 48:22 K:BB, Watkins has managed to maintain a 4.04 ERA across 78 innings for the campaign.

Montas (4-10) took the loss Thursday against Toronto, allowing six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out two in six innings.

The second inning was a nightmare for Montas as the Blue Jays scored five times, capped off by a two-out, three-run homer by Vladimir Guerrero. Following that, he settled down, allowing just one run and inducing seven groundball outs over the final four frames. Two of his three starts as a Yankee have been subpar and he has a 9.00 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB in 14 innings since being acquired from the A's. His next start will likely come in the middle of next week in the Subway Series.

Berrios (9-5) earned the victory Thursday against the Yankees, striking out nine in 6.2 innings while allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits, a walk and a hit batsman.

Outside of the first three batters of the third inning, Berrios was excellent. In the third, he allowed a walk and hit a batter before a run-scoring single and an RBI groundout led to both of New York's runs. He scattered four hits over the rest of the outing and kept the Yankees off the board. It was his first good outing in August as he allowed 13 runs and four homers in 7.2 innings over his previous two starts. His next start will likely come in the middle of next week at Boston.

Jobe was promoted to High-A West Michigan on Thursday.

Jobe completed 61.2 innings at Single-A Lakeland before being bumped up a level. He posted only a 4.52 ERA but also maintained a 71:25 K:BB across 61.2 innings. Jobe is still a few years away from the majors but has shown flashes of the skills that caused Detroit to pick him third overall in the 2021 Amateur Draft.
