Kirby (8-5) took the loss against Detroit on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out five batters over four innings.

This looked like a promising final regular-season outing for Kirby on paper, but he allowed constant traffic on the basepaths and labored with 93 pitches over four frames. Detroit tallied three runs -- two of which came on a Javier Baez homer, the first long ball Kirby has yielded in his past 14 starts -- over his final two innings to send the rookie right-hander to his fifth loss of the campaign. Kirby nonetheless put together a fine first big-league campaign, notching eight wins and posting a 3.39 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 133:22 K:BB over 130 innings. He also tossed 26.2 innings in the minors, and the sizeable workload may have contributed to a drop in velocity in his final start, per Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Kirby is expected to work out of the bullpen in Seattle's upcoming wild-card series, though he could retain a starting role if the Mariners advance to the ALDS.

Garcia (2-0) earned the win over the Mariners on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 6.2 innings.

Garcia was called up earlier in the day to make his first major-league start since Aug. 15. He allowed a run in the first frame but bounced back by keeping Seattle off the scoreboard over the next three innings. The right-hander yielded another run in the fifth and departed with two outs in the seventh, after which one more run was posted to his final line. Garcia finished with a season-best six punchouts and his second quality start of the campaign. This was his first season working as a starter in the majors, and he finished with a respectable 3.54 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 17:10 K:BB over 20.1 innings.

Hill pitched six innings, surrendering three runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk while striking out six in Monday's win over the Rays. He did not factor into the decision.

Hill gave up a solo home run to Wander Franco in the top of the first inning before Manuel Margot took him deep for a two-run shot in the bottom of the fourth frame after an error extended the inning. The homers accounted for all the damage against him in the contest and the left-hander notched his second consecutive quality start. Hill will finish his season with a 4.27 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 109 strikeouts over 124.1 frames in 26 starts.

Glasnow pitched 3.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out seven in Monday's loss to the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Glasnow was stretched out a little further Monday, tossing 64 pitches while blanking the Red Sox over 3.2 frames. The right-hander returned from the 60-day injured list to make his season debut Wednesday and will now be a significant part of the Rays' pitching staff in the postseason. Over his two outings, he's allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out 10 batters over 6.2 innings.

McCullers (4-2) took the loss Monday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out five.

McCullers finished the season on a high note, with his fourth consecutive quality start. His only major mistake came on the very first pitch he threw, a sinker that caught too much of the plate which Kyle Schwarber took the other way to left field for a solo home run. The earned run was enough to prevent McCullers from earning the win as he was outdueled by Aaron Nola. In his nine starts this season, the 29-year-old went 4-2 with a 2.27 ERA, which he will look to build on with a full workload next year.

Ober did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk over five innings against the White Sox. He struck out four.

Ober allowed just two hits on the night, but they were timely as they both came in the second inning, including a two-run home run off the bat of Josh Harrison. In four starts since returning from the injured list Sept. 16, Ober earned a 2.04 ERA over 22.1 innings, finishing the campaign on a high note. In 56 innings on the season, the 27-year old went 2-3 with a 3.21 ERA.

Cueto (8-10) earned the win Monday, allowing two runs on six hits and no walks with four punchouts over seven innings against Minnesota.

Cueto was effective through seven innings, the only damage coming via a two-run home run off the bat of Gio Urshela in the top of the first inning. The quality start was a great end to the season, as Cueto earned a 6.34 ERA over 32.2 innings over six starts leading up to Monday. The 36-year-old veteran finishes the season with a 3.35 ERA, eight wins, 18 quality starts and 102 strikeouts over 158.1 innings.

Greinke yielded two runs (one earned) on one walk and seven hits over six innings against Cleveland on Monday. He struck out one and did not factor in the decision.

Greinke didn't get much run support until the Royals won the game in the 10th frame. The veteran righty gave up just one run over 13 frames in his final two starts of the year, lowering his season ERA to 3.68 through 26 starts. Greinke dominated the Guardians this season, registering a 1.19 and a 9:4 K:BB in four starts against them. He struck out just 73 batters through 137 innings this year.

Perez (12-8) got the loss after he pitched six innings, surrendering one run on five hits and five walks while striking out two Monday versus the Yankees.

Perez finished his season on a high note, limiting the Yankees to one run over six frames. The only blemish on his line came in the top of the fifth frame, when Kyle Higashioka notched an RBI single. Perez snagged a third straight quality start and has produced five of them over his final six outings of the season overall. The left-hander will finish the campaign with a 2.89 ERA and 1.26 WHIP with 169 strikeouts over 32 starts.

McKenzie allowed one run on four hits over five frames against the Royals on Monday. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.

McKenzie gave up a run in the third inning but otherwise worked a pretty clean outing. The 25-year-old righty ended his regular season by allowing three or fewer runs in his final 11 starts, posting a 2.27 ERA through 71.1 innings during that stretch. On the year, McKenzie registered an impressive 2.96 ERA with a 190:44 K:BB across 31 appearances (30 starts).
