Reid-Foley (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Brooklyn on Sunday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

A right shoulder impingement has kept Reid-Foley on the shelf since the beginning of the season, but he now seems ready to test his shoulder in a game setting. It's unclear how many rehab outings the Mets want him to make before returning him to the major-league bullpen, but the 28-year-old's assignment will likely move to a higher-level affiliate if Sunday's appearance goes well.

The Marlins designated Andriese for assignment Saturday.

Just nine days after being selected from Triple-A Jacksonville, Andriese will once again be without a 40-man roster spot. The 34-year-old right-hander allowed three earned runs across five innings over three appearances during his stint in the majors and will most likely pass through waivers unclaimed. Calvin Faucher was recalled from Jacksonville in a corresponding move.

The Marlins recalled Faucher from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.

Faucher failed to make the Marlins' roster out of spring training, but he will now come up from the minors to provide Miami with some extra bullpen depth. The 28-year-old righty has given up three earned runs across 6.1 innings over four appearances in Triple-A and will likely be limited to low-leverage situations in the majors. Matt Andriese was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Harvey (hand) struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Friday.

The right-hander was removed from his last appearance Tuesday after being struck by a comebacker on his glove hand, but Harvey looked 100 percent Friday as he fired 16 of 20 pitches for strikes. The 29-year-old has been the Nationals' best reliever to begin the season, posting a 2.84 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB through 6.1 innings with a win and four holds in six appearances, but manager Dave Martinez has so far preferred using Harvey as his high-leverage relief ace while leaving Kyle Finnegan in the closer role.

Finnegan (0-2) took the loss Friday, giving up an unearned run on a hit and a walk in the 10th inning against the A's. He struck out one.

The right-hander couldn't prevent the phantom runner from crossing the plate, even after intentionally walking Shea Langeliers to lead off the 10th to set up a potential double play. Finnegan has been shaky to start the season, posting a 6.75 ERA and 5:5 K:BB through 5.1 innings, but he's converted four of five save chances and his spot as the Nats' closer doesn't seem to be at risk for now.

Espino was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday.

Espino gave up four earned runs on six hits, including two home runs, and a walk in 2.2 innings Friday against the Rockies, so he wouldn't have been available over the rest of the weekend anyway, and his poor performance could have punched his ticket to the minors. Yariel Rodriguez was called up to make his big-league debut in a corresponding move.

Bowman was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.

Bowman had thrown six scoreless innings at St. Paul with a 7:2 K:BB. Bowman had Tommy John surgery in September 2020 and ended up missing the next two seasons. He returned in 2023 to post a 3.99 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with a 58:30 K:BB in 58.2 innings in Triple-A while making three appearances with the Yankees in the majors. He'll likely be used in low-leverage situations and may quickly head back to Triple-A.

The Reds optioned Spiers to Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.

Spiers will be squeezed off the MLB roster following the return of Nick Lodolo (calf) from the injured list Saturday. Spiers allowed four runs (three earned) in his lone appearance during his stint in the majors and could return to Cincinnati later this season to give the Reds' bullpen a fresh arm.

Bernardino struck out two over 1.1 scoreless innings in Friday's 7-0 loss to the Angels.

Bernardino has thrown 3.1 scoreless innings since being called up from Triple-A Worcester earlier in the week. He was surprisingly left off the Opening Day roster, but the left-hander pitched well for Boston in 2023 and could stick in a bullpen that has a dearth of southpaws.

The Orioles optioned Heasley to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.

Heasley was hit around by the Brewers' lineup during Friday's blowout loss, allowing six earned runs on seven hits and a walk across two innings. He'll look to get back on track in the minors, but with a 5.67 career ERA, it's unlikely the 27-year-old is trusted with important MLB innings anytime soon. His departure from the active roster will make room for Yohan Ramirez, who was traded to Baltimore from the Mets on Thursday.
