Report: Matt Moore dealing with UCL injury
Rays pitcher Matt Moore is dealing with an elbow injury that involves the ulnar collateral ligament, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Moore is getting a second opinion on the injury before he and the team decide a course of action, but injuries involving the UCL are always dangerous, as a tear of the ligament generally precedes Tommy John surgery. If Moore has a tear and it's small enough, he may be able to pitch through the injury. Any timetable for his recovery at this point would be purely speculative.
