  • Hunter Harvey RP | CHC

Orioles' Hunter Harvey: To visit doctors Monday

Harvey (shoulder) is scheduled to see team doctors Monday, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Harvey has been dealing with elbow soreness since Tuesday, and although the extent of the injury has yet to be revealed, more news on his status should emerge after further evaluation.

  • Ariel Jurado RP | TEX

Rangers' Ariel Jurado: Pitches better Friday

Jurado (4-5) allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two over five innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Friday.

Jurado served as the primary pitcher after opener Connor Sadzeck hurled a scoreless first inning. This was a turnaround effort for Jurado, who had a 15.43 ERA in his previous two appearances. He'll try to take this momentum into his next outing Wednesday on the road against the Angels.

  • Blake Treinen RP | LAD

Athletics' Blake Treinen: Continues dominant season

Treinen (8-2) got the win against the Twins on Friday, striking out one without allowing a baserunner over two scoreless innings in Oakland's 7-6 victory.

Treinen continued his phenomenal 2018 campaign, as he picked up his eighth victory of the season thanks to a walkoff solo home run by teammate Khris Davis in the 10th inning. He's been virtually unhittable all season, with just seven earned runs to his name over his 76.1 innings to leave his ERA and WHIP both at a hard-to-believe number of 0.83.

  • Liam Hendriks RP | CHC

Athletics' Liam Hendriks: Throws one inning in start

Hendriks threw one inning in his start on Friday, working around a hit and a walk to work a scoreless opening frame in an eventual 7-6 extra inning victory for the Athletics.

It was the seventh time in September that Oakland opted to let Hendriks start off a bullpen day and he did his job in this one despite allowing two baserunners and needing 28 pitches to make it through the opening frame. His overall numbers on the season aren't impressive (5.03 ERA, 1.63 WHIP) but he hasn't allowed a run in any of those seven starting appearances, so he's doing well with that role. There just isn't much fantasy value to be found in it.

  • Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Secures 42nd save

Kimbrel struck out one in a clean ninth inning Friday to earn the save against the Indians.

Kimbrel retired the Indians' hitters on 10 pitches (seven strikes) to pick up his 42nd save of the year. Kimbrel has now thrown eight consecutive scoreless outings, allowing just one hit while striking out 12 in that span. The right-hander's 42 saves trail only Edwin Diaz (56) in the majors, and he's posted a .148 batting average against with a 93:28 K:BB in 61 innings this season.

  • Connor Sadzeck RP | MIN

Rangers' Connor Sadzeck: Tosses scoreless inning as opener

Sadzeck didn't factor into the decision in Friday's victory over the Mariners. He started the game and pitched one scoreless inning while allowing no hits and two walks with no strikeouts.

Sadzeck made his second start of the season for the Rangers in the "opener" role, and he was able to successfully work around two walks to pitch a scoreless first frame. He has yet to allow an earned run in the big leagues this season, but he has allowed seven walks in his first 7.1 innings pitched. He shouldn't garner much attention in fantasy leagues while he operates as an occasional opener.

  • Yankees' Dellin Betances: Notches fourth save

Betances logged the save Friday against the Orioles, tossing a scoreless ninth inning while allowing one hit and striking out one.

Betances gave up a one-out single, but he managed to retire the final two batters to preserve the victory. He's managed to string together two scoreless outings since blowing a save Sunday against Toronto, and he'll handle mid-to-high-leverage situations down the stretch of the regular season as the Yankees head into the playoffs.

  • Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL

White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Fans eight, notches victory

Lopez (7-9) allowed one run on five hits while striking out eight over seven innings, picking up the win Friday against the Cubs.

Lopez gave up a first-inning solo home run, but he sailed through the final six innings of his outing. He threw 70 of 108 pitches for strikes. The 24-year-old has been dominant in September, going 2-0 with just two runs allowed and 30 punchouts over 27 frames. Lopez will draw one more start Tuesday against Cleveland before the season comes to a close.

  • Michael Fulmer RP | NYY

Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Placed on 60-day disabled list

Fulmer (knee) was placed on the 60-day disabled list Friday.

The move is purely a procedural one, as Fulmer has already been ruled out for the year after surgery to repair a torn meniscus. He's expected to be ready to go by the start of spring training. The transaction frees a spot on the 40-man roster for Harold Castro, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.

  • Jalen Beeks RP | TEX

Rays' Jalen Beeks: Slated for relief work Friday

Beeks is expected to work behind opening pitcher Diego Castillo in Friday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Rays manager Kevin Cash hasn't confirmed that Beeks will serve as the team's primary pitcher, but he seems to be the most logical candidate for those duties after Ryan Yarbrough logged four innings Wednesday and Yonny Chirinos covered 4.2 innings Thursday. Unlike Yarbrough and Chirinos, the Rays have been more reluctant to hand Beeks heavy workloads out of the bullpen lately, with the expanded roster likely contributing to the rookie's more limited usage. Beeks has worked between two and three frames in each of his last four appearances, factoring into the decision on only one of those occasions.
