Peters didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 win over the White Sox, giving up four runs on six hits and three walks over 4.1 innings while striking out three.

The lefty threw only 54 of 88 pitches for strikes before getting the hook, and Peters was headed for his third loss until the Angels staged a late comeback. He'll take a 4.45 ERA and 47:18 K:BB through 56.2 innings into his next start Wednesday, at home against Cleveland.

Pressly (knee) threw 10-15 pitches off a mound Friday, David Barron of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pressly included a few breaking balls during his session, which was thrown from about two-thirds up the slope of the mound. The next step, per manager AJ Hinch, will be a full bullpen session over the weekend. "He (Pressly) is progressing nicely," the manager said. "Better than good. He has been excellent."

Colome (4-3) allowed a home run and struck out one to pick up the loss Friday against the Angels.

Colome entered with the game tied and served up a gopher ball to Justin Upton, the first homer he's allowed in 25 games (25.2 innings) going back to June 11. Apart from a slightly elevated walk rate, Colome has been everything the White Sox hoped for. The club has him under control through the 2020 season, and he will most likely serve as the team's closer next year, when the White Sox hope to begin a competitive window with its best prospects at the major-league level.

Betances (lat) expects to remain with Double-A Trenton to continue his rehab, Matt Kardos of MLB.com reports.

Betances made his initial rehab appearance with Trenton on Friday, tossing 19 pitches while picking up one strikeout and allowing a walk and a hit batsman in one scoreless inning. Trenton advanced to the Eastern League Championship series with the win, allowing Betances additional opportunities to pitch in meaningful minor-league games before a potential mid-September return to the Yankees.

Jimenez tossed a scoreless 11th inning Friday, allowing a hit and striking out one to earn his sixth save of the year in a 5-4 win over the Athletics.

Jimenez allowed Jurickson Profar a leadoff single, but retired the next three batters in order to preserve the one-run lead. The closer owns a 4.78 ERA and 1.37 WHIP with 72 strikeouts in 52.2 innings this season.

Schreiber (1-0) struck out one and did not allow a run or a baserunner in two-thirds of an inning Friday, earning the win in a 5-4 extra-innings victory over the Athletics.

With a runner on, Schreiber recorded the last two outs of the 10th, whiffing Chad Pinder and getting Khris Davis to fly out. The Tigers scraped together a run in the 11th and made it stand to give Schreiber his first major-league win. He's appeared in five games this season, pitching to a 9.64 ERA and 2.36 WHIP in 4.2 innings.

Leclerc allowed one hit with one walk and one strikeout in a scoreless inning to record the save in a 7-6 victory over the Orioles on Friday.

The 25-year-old has been inconsistent since returning as the closer in August, but this was his sixth save in his last seven opportunities. He's also rebounded with three straight scoreless outings since taking a loss against the Mariners on Aug. 29. Leclerc is 2-4 with 11 saves, 4.15 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 89 strikeouts in 60.2 innings this season.

Pagan pitched a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout to record his 19th save in a 5-0 victory over the Blue Jays on Friday.

The 28-year-old took the mound with the bases loaded and no outs, so Pagan entered in a save situation despite also having a five-run lead. He made quick work of the Blue Jays, not letting any of his inherited runners score in his sixth straight successful save situation. Pagan is 3-2 with a 2.19 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 85 strikeouts in 61.2 innings this season.

Burke allowed six runs on six hits with two walks and one strikeout across five innings during a no-decision against the Orioles on Friday.

The left-hander was dealing with a virus this week and only threw 75 pitches, but it's unclear if that's because of the illness or ineffectiveness. Burke tossed up three homers in just five frames and was fortunate to escape with a no-decision. Three strong starts to begin his career, though, still has his ERA at a healthy 3.52 mark. He is also 0-1 with a 1.17 WHIP and 12 strikeouts in 23 innings across four outings. Burke will face the Rays at home in his next start Thursday.

Lopez (3-7) threw six scoreless innings Friday against the Marlins to pick up the win, striking out five while allowing four hits.

It was a smooth outing for Lopez, as he only once allowed a Marlin to reach scoring position. The 26-year-old was able to lower his ERA to a still-poor 6.23, and the performance was likely strong enough to earn him another start, lining him up to face the White Sox on Thursday.
