Alexander will start Monday's game against the Brewers, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Alexander will make his first start of the season in place of Jose Urena (forearm), who was placed on the injured list Saturday. Alexander has allowed three hits and one walk while striking out two in four innings across his last four relief appearances.

Clase (3-2) won Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader, pitching the seventh inning and allowing one run on one hit and one walk in a 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Clase entered a 4-4 tie in the seventh and allowed Jonathan Davis to reach base and eventually score but was bailed out when Cleveland scored two in the bottom of the inning for a walk-off win. There's a chance Clase was a bit rusty as he hadn't pitched in nearly a week but the run allowed was only his third permitted this year in 22.2 innings for a dazzling 1.19 ERA.

Hentges took the no-decision in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against Toronto, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts in 2.1 innings in a 6-5 win.

Hentges got through the game's first two innings unscathed but ran into trouble the second time through the order, allowing five straight base runners and all four runs once Toronto leadoff man Marcus Semien stepped to the plate a second time. He's yet to pitch more than five innings in any start and needs to work deeper into games to become a streamer.

King (0-2) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Tigers after allowing four runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks while fanning two across 2.1 innings.

King couldn't even get out of the third inning due to his command issues -- he tossed just 37 of his 63 pitches for strikes -- and his lack of effectiveness. This was his first start of the campaign and while the results weren't encouraging, he's still been a reliable presence on the mound for the Yankees and owns a 2.86 ERA on the season.

Romano earned the save Sunday against Cleveland after tossing a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.

Romano entered the game with a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning and closed things out despite the fact that he allowed a one-out single to Josh Naylor. The right-hander has gone 3-for-4 in save chances this season and has also tossed six straight scoreless appearances, posting a 10:1 K:BB during that stretch (6.0 innings).

Fleming (5-3) earned the win in relief Sunday against the Phillies after allowing two runs on four hits while fanning five across 4.2 innings.

Fleming has started in five of his nine appearances this season but looked impressive here, as he was called upon duty in the first inning and earned his fifth win of the campaign. He owns a 2.98 ERA across 45.1 innings in 2021.

McHugh gave up two hits across two-thirds of an inning Sunday against the Phillies. He didn't factor into the decision.

McHugh only tossed 14 pitches before being lifted and while he tossed 10 of those deliveries for strikes, he couldn't even complete an inning before making way to Josh Fleming. McHugh has made three starts in 12 appearances this season and owns a 3.86 ERA. He's expected to continue his role as a swingman going forward.

Barlow pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, allowing a walk with four strikeouts to earn a hold in Sunday's 6-3 win over Minnesota.

The 28-year-old got the last two outs of the seventh inning after Kyle Zimmer walked a pair of batters. Barlow then worked around a walk of his own in the eighth. The right-hander is up to nine holds in 25 appearances this season. He's added a 2.00 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB in 27 innings as Kansas City's primary setup man, although he could get a look in save situations should Greg Holland falter while Josh Staumont (knee) is out.

Tate (0-3) allowed two runs on three hits in one inning in a loss to the White Sox on Sunday.

Tate worked the seventh inning Sunday. He allowed a leadoff single to Tim Anderson, an RBI triple to Nick Madrigal and another run on Yoan Moncada's single. Baltimore failed to overcome that damage, with Tate taking his second loss in as many outings. The reliever has five up six runs in his last 7.1 innings. For the year, the right-hander has a 4.91 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 6:3 K:BB in 14.2 innings. Until he can put in better outings, Tate will likely see lower-leverage assignments.

Akin allowed a run on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 4.2 innings versus the White Sox on Sunday. He did not factor in the decision.

The southpaw's lone run surrendered came on a Billy Hamilton solo home run in the third inning. Other than that, Akin was able to work around putting seven batters on base. The 26-year-old has a 4.80 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB across 15 innings. Sunday was his first start of the season, but he pitched well enough to get another look in a struggling Baltimore rotation.
