Barlow (3-3) walked one and struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn the win Wednesday versus the White Sox.

In his last five appearances, Barlow has collected two saves, two holds and a win as one of manager Mike Matheny's strongest high-leverage arms. Barlow worked the 10th inning Wednesday, keeping the game tied to allow Michael Taylor to deliver a walkoff single in the bottom of the frame. The 28-year-old right-hander owns a 2.70 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 65:21 K:BB with six saves and 13 holds across 50 innings.

Pilkington was acquired by Cleveland on Thursday in a trade which sent Cesar Hernandez to the White Sox, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Pilkington joins an organization that has a good reputation when it comes to developing pitchers. The 2018 third-round pick isn't a top prospect, but he's shown promise this season in 14 Double-A starts, riding a 30.5 percent strikeout rate to a 3.48 ERA.

Manaea (8-6) earned the win Wednesday over the Padres after tossing six scoreless innings, giving up one hit and one walk while fanning nine.

Manaea tossed a second straight quality start and has dazzled of late, allowing just one run on four hits while posting a 22:4 K:BB across his last 13 innings of work. The southpaw owns an excellent 2.18 ERA since the beginning of June.

Romano earned the save in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Red Sox after tossing a scoreless inning, striking out one.

Romano was in charge of closing things out in the seventh inning during the first game of the doubleheader and made quick work of Boston, as he only needed 14 pitches (11 strikes) to get the job done. Romano, who tossed his second straight scoreless outing and seems to be turning things around after a couple of subpar appearances, has gone 8-for-9 in save appearances this season, though his ninth-inning outlook is clouded going forward following the addition of Brad Hand from Washington.

Hand was traded from the Nationals to the Blue Jays in exchange for catcher Riley Adams on Thursday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Hand converted 21 of his 26 save opportunities to begin the year, with three of those blown saves coming in his last six appearances, and he's recorded a 3.59 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 42.2 innings this season. The Blue Jays have shuffled through several closers this year, and while a change of scenery could help the southpaw turn things around, there's no guarantee he will displace Jordan Romano in the ninth-inning role, particularly given Hand's 7.88 ERA in July.

Fairbanks was placed on the 10-day injured list with shoulder inflammation Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The injury may explain Fairbanks' poor performance Wednesday against the Yankees, as he allowed two runs without retiring a batter. This is now the second time he's hit the injured list with shoulder issues this season, as he missed nearly four weeks with a rotator cuff strain early in the season. He'll undergo an MRI on Thursday, per Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network, after which the length of this particular absence should become clearer. Chris Mazza was recalled in a corresponding move.

Iglesias (7-4) allowed two hits but did not give up a run and struck out a batter over 1.2 innings as he picked up the win over the Rockies on Wednesday.

Iglesias was called upon with one out and one on in the eighth to protect a 7-6 lead. He retired the first batter he faced but proceeded to allow back-to-back singles to allow Colorado to tie the game. Fortunately, the Angels were able to re-take the lead again and Iglesias shut the door in the ninth to secure the victory. The 31-year-old has been quite reliable this season with a 3.23 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 71:8 K:BB to go along with 21 saves over 47.1 innings.

Hendriks was tagged with a blown save against the Royals on Wednesday as a result of giving up one run on a solo homer over one inning.

The veteran reliever retired the first batter he faced after being called upon to close out the contest, but Salvador Perez then took him deep to left field to tie the game. The blown save was Hendriks' fifth of the season and first since July 11. He still carries a strong 2.58 ERA and an absurd 71:5 K:BB overall.

Scott (4-4) earned the win Wednesday versus Miami. He allowed no baserunners in two-thirds of an inning.

Dillon Tate allowed two batters to reach base before getting an out, but Scott ended the threat with a fielder's choice and a groundout. Baltimore rallied for a walkoff walk in the bottom of the ninth, which made Scott the winning pitcher. The 27-year-old has a 3.07 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 59:28 K:BB across 41 innings this year. He's collected 14 holds and could be in the mix for save chances going forward.

Lopez allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two in two innings in a no-decision versus Miami on Wednesday.

Lopez had particular trouble against Jesus Aguilar, who hit an RBI double and a two-run home run against him in consecutive innings. Luckily for the right-hander, Baltimore rallied in the third inning to tie the game, getting him off the hook. Lopez still has an unsightly 6.19 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 90:43 K:BB through 96 innings across 21 starts. He projects for a road start versus the Yankees next week.
