White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Foot injury resurfaces
Jimenez left Thursday's game against the Athletics with right foot discomfort.
Jimenez was removed from the game after blasting a double in the third inning, and it appears as though he aggravated his foot injury that forced him to miss the first two games of the AL Wild Card Series. Should the White Sox win Thursday's decisive Game 3, Jimenez could perhaps return for the AL Division Series.

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Returns as designated hitter
Jimenez (foot) will bat cleanup as the designated hitter for Game 3 of the Wild Card Series against Oakland on Thursday.
Jimenez will play for the first time in a week after dealing with a sprained foot. He didn't appear in either of the first two games of the series despite reportedly being available off the bench, but he's ready to go for the deciding contest. He hit .296/.332/.559 in 55 games this season, so his presence should be a big boost to Chicago's lineup.

Vogelbach (hamstring) is starting Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Cardinals' Brad Miller: Not starting in playoff opener
Miller is out of the lineup Wednesday for Game 1 of the Cardinals' wild-card series with the Padres, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
The Cardinals are squaring off against a right-handed pitcher (Chris Paddack) in Game 1, so the lefty-hitting Miller's exclusion from the lineup suggests he may have lost hold of a large-side platoon role after an extended slump to finish out the regular season. While his .808 OPS over his 48 games in 2020 was solid enough, Miller faded badly after his big two-homer, seven-RBI game on Sept. 1. From thereon, Miller slashed .165/.275/.316 with three home runs, seven RBI and a 34.1 percent strikeout rate.

He didn't appear off the bench in Game 1 despite reportedly being available, but he wasn't needed as the White Sox won 4-1. Leury Garcia remains the starter in left field in his absence.
