Giants' Joc Pederson: Rejoins lineup
Pederson (groin) is starting in right field and batting leadoff Wednesday against the Dodgers, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
Pederson appeared as a pinch hitter Tuesday, which was his first game action since April 27, and he will rejoin the starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale. The 30-year-old ended up sitting out four games with a strained right groin but was able to avoid a stint on the injured list.

Nick Solak 1B | PIT
Rangers' Nick Solak: Sits against right-hander
Solak isn't starting Wednesday against Philadelphia.
Most of Solak's starts this season have come against left-handed pitchers, and he'll retreat to the bench against righty Zack Wheeler on Wednesday. Andy Ibanez will serve as the designated hitter while Zach Reks enters the lineup in left field.

Twins' Byron Buxton: Not in Wednesday's lineup

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Belts fifth homer
Stanton went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the Blue Jays.
He wrapped up the scoring on the night with a ninth-inning blast off Andrew Vasquez. Stanton has hit safely in eight straight games, and while he's somewhat taken a back seat to the red-hot Aaron Judge, he's still slashing .387./444./677 during that stretch with three of his five homers on the year and eight of his 16 RBI.

Cooper Hummel LF | HOU
Diamondbacks' Cooper Hummel: In lineup for third straight game
Hummel will serve as the Diamondbacks' designated hitter and No. 5 batter in Wednesday's game in Miami, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
The righty-hitting Hummel has mostly served as a short-side platoon player since making Arizona's Opening Day roster, but he'll stick in the lineup against a right-handed starting pitcher (Elieser Hernandez) for the second straight game after also starting against righty Pablo Lopez in Monday's series opener. Hummel will be filling in Wednesday for Christian Walker, whose season-long struggles in addition to Seth Beer's ongoing slump has positioned Hummel to pick up more at-bats.

Red Sox's J.D. Martinez: Goes yard again
Martinez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Angels.
Martinez launched an eighth-inning bomb over the wall in left for his third homer and second in as many games. He's dealt with a nagging groin injury, which no longer appears to be bothersome. Boston's designated hitter is 5-for-9 with five RBI over the last two games.

However, he'll be out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games during Wednesday's matinee. Owen Miller will serve as the designated hitter while Richie Palacios starts in left field.
