Franmil Reyes DH | WAS
Guardians' Franmil Reyes: Not starting Tuesday
Reyes isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Boston.
Reyes sits the night after going 1-for-4 with a trio of strikeouts. Josh Naylor will be the designated hitter while Owen Miller plays first base Tuesday.

Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Mets' Daniel Vogelbach: Sitting against lefty
Vogelbach will sit Tuesday versus the Yankees.
Vogelbach will take a seat as the Mets take on the Yankees and left-hander Jordan Montgomery. The 29-year-old went 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored in his debut with the Mets on Sunday. J.D. Davis will take over at designated hitter and bat eighth against the Yankees.

Byron Buxton DH | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Returns to lineup Tuesday
Buxton (knee) is batting leadoff and playing center field Tuesday versus the Brewers, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
A PRP injection had sidelined the power-hitting center fielder since before the All-Star break. Buxton takes his .216/.293/.531 slash line and 23 home runs into a matchup with lefty Ethan Small.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Lands on IL
The Yankees placed Stanton on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with left Achilles tendonitis.
The move is retroactive to Sunday, so Stanton could return as soon as the middle of next week, depending on the severity of his injury. Stanton struggled during the stretch after the All-Star break, going 0-for-10 with seven strikeouts. Given their comfortable position in the standings, the Yankees might be extra cautious when timing Stanton's return.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Three hits in Monday's loss
Ozuna went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Phillies.
It was Ozuna's first multi-hit performance since July 3, and he slashed a sluggish .179/.246/.339 in 15 games between those efforts. The 31-year-old hasn't been able to put together any extended hot streaks yet this season, but unless Atlanta makes a major addition at the trade deadline, Ozuna's playing time seems secure with Adam Duvall (wrist) done for the year.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Nursing bruised knee
Ohtani suffered a bruise above his knee during Monday's game against the Royals, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Ohtani fouled a ball off his leg during Monday's matchup, and while he said after the game that he's fine to play Tuesday, his status will be worth watching leading up to first pitch. The Angels will re-evaluate the two-way star Tuesday morning, per Fletcher.

Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Pops home run in rout
Cabrera went 1-for-2 with two walks, a solo home run and two runs scored in Monday's 12-4 win over the Padres.
Cabrera went deep in the sixth inning for his fourth home run of the season and 506th of his storied career. The veteran is now batting .284 this year, and while his power has largely vanished, he's still hitting in the middle of Detroit's order most days. Cabrera will have modest fantasy value as long as he keeps hitting and stays healthy.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Could return Tuesday or Wednesday
Turner (abdomen) felt better while taking part in pregame activities Monday and could return to the lineup either Tuesday or Wednesday against the Nationals, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Manager Dave Roberts stated earlier in the day that it was possible Turner could end up on the injured list, but after doing some work in pregame Monday, he appears to have changed the skipper's mind. Turner will continue to be labeled day-to-day moving forward.
-
Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Back in business
Alvarez (hand) is in the lineup for Monday's game against the A's.
A sore right hand prevented Alvarez from starting Sunday's game, but it will not cost him any further action. He will serve as the designated hitter and hit third in Houston's batting order.

Justin Turner DH | CHC
Dodgers' Justin Turner: Remains out of lineup
Turner (abdomen) isn't starting Monday's game against the Nationals, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Turner is out of the lineup for a fourth consecutive game as he continues to deal with an abdominal injury, and manager Dave Roberts said Monday that the 37-year-old could require an IL stint. Jake Lamb is serving as the designated hitter while Trayce Thompson starts in left field Monday.
