Florial went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Yankees in the second game of a doubleheader.

Florial went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts in the matinee before getting his third hit and first homer as a Guardian -- against his former organization -- in the nightcap. The outfielder is still hitting a paltry .150 with one stolen base, one RBI, two runs scored and a triple over 24 plate appearances. Florial is competing with Ramon Laureano, Tyler Freeman and Will Brennan for playing time between center field, right field and designated hitter, and none of them have made compelling cases to grab a starting role so far.

Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Rays.

Soler went seven games without a long ball, and he hit just .125 (3-for-24) with five walks in that span. The designated hitter's power has been there for the Giants so far with three homers through 15 games, but he's batting just .208 with four RBI, nine runs scored, three doubles and a 10:13 BB:K over 64 plate appearances.

Velazquez went 2-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 11-7 win over the Mets.

Velazquez was one of six Royals to log multiple hits Saturday. He's known for his power more than his speed -- this was his first steal and attempt since 2022. He's earned a significant role early in 2024, slashing .333/.385/.521 with two home runs, seven RBI, eight runs scored and three doubles over 13 contests as the Royals' primary designated hitter.

Stewart is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Stewart will take a seat to begin Sunday's game while the Royals bring left-hander Cole Ragans to the hill. With Stewart on the bench, Starling Marte will serve as the Mets' designated hitter, and Tyrone Taylor will draw a start in right field.

Toro went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a stolen base in a loss to the Nationals on Saturday.

Toro made some noise out of the top of the order, recording his first two-bagger and stolen base of the season in the process. It was the second three-hit effort in the last four games for Toro, who's now drawn six consecutive starts during which he's mustered a .360 average and .385 on-base percentage across 26 plate appearances.

Sano is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Sano will take a seat for the third game in a row, all of which have come while the Angels have faced right-handed starting pitchers. With Sano seemingly moving into more a part-time role after hitting just .207 with no home runs and a 41.2 percent strikeout rate through 34 plate appearances this season, Aaron Hicks looks set to pick up more playing time.

Bryant (back/ribs) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Bryant was removed in the fourth inning of Saturday's 5-3 loss after experiencing soreness in his right ribs and back, but at this stage, Rockies manager Bud Black isn't expecting the 32-year-old to miss much time, according to the Associated Press. The four-time All-Star's injury stems from when he twisted around and crashed into the outfield wall after making a catch on a deep drive off the bat of Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning. Bryant was able to stay in the game initially and doubled in his at-bat in the second inning, but he struck out in his next at-bat in the fourth inning and was pulled in the bottom of the frame when his back stiffened up. Consider Bryant day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener in Philadelphia.

Schwarber went 3-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Pirates.

Incredibly, all five of his plate appearances came against southpaws, marking the first time in his career that Schwarber had reached base five times in the same game against same-handed pitching. Per Paul Casella of MLB.com, he's only the third left-handed batter in the last eight years to accomplish that platoon-defying feat, joining Juan Soto and Anthony Rizzo. Schwarber has had a solid start to the season, slashing .259/.358/.414 through 15 games with three homers, a steal, six RBI and 11 runs.

Ohtani went 0-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a stolen base in a 5-2 win against the Padres on Saturday.

Ohtani had his eight-game hitting streak snapped Saturday, but he still reached base twice and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. The slugger added to his fantasy output with his second theft of the campaign. Ohtani hasn't had much difficulty adjusting to the National League, slashing .343/.392/.686 with four home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs and a 7:14 BB:K through 79 plate appearances.

Bryant left Saturday's game against Toronto due to back tightness, Kelsey Wingert-Linch of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.

Bryant's back reportedly tightened up on him after he collided with the outfield wall while making a catch in the first inning of Saturday's contest. He played a few more innings afterward but had to come out of the game in the fourth inning. The severity of his back injury remains unknown, but he should be considered day-to-day for the time being.
