Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Back in lineup Tuesday
O'Hearn (knee) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Tuesday's game versus the Marlins.
O'Hearn didn't start Sunday while dealing with some knee soreness, but he entered that contest as a pinch hitter and will be in the lineup Tuesday following a team off day Monday. The left-handed hitter has an .809 OPS with 12 homers in 81 games for the Orioles this season.

Charlie Blackmon RF | COL
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Belts homer Monday
Blackmon went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 9-8 victory over the Red Sox in 12 inning.
Blackmon opened the game's scoring with a two-run shot in the third inning. It was his seventh long ball of the season and fourth in July. Despite the recent power surge, he's hitting just .235 this month. Blackmon's slash line sits at .253/.331/.416 with 29 extra-base hits and 42 runs scored through 314 plate appearances.

Tigers' Justyn-Henry Malloy: Homers again in win
Malloy went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 8-2 win over the Guardians.
Malloy opened the scoring with a two-run home run off Carlos Carrasco in the first inning. The rookie has now homered on back-to-back days and has seven long balls in 123 plate appearances this year. He also struck out three times Monday, bringing his season total to 42, but he has still managed an impressive .279/.380/.605 slash line in July.

Trevor Larnach LF | MIN
Twins' Trevor Larnach: On bench against lefty
Larnach is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Out of lineup Monday
Jimenez is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.
Jimenez will head to the bench while the White Sox go with Gavin Sheets as their designated hitter. While he had started each of the previous four contests, Jimenez has now received seven days off since June 26. He's turned in a .605 OPS with zero home runs over that stretch.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Reaches 30 homers
Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's win over the Red Sox.
Ohtani was one of five Dodgers who went yard against Kutter Crawford. His fifth-inning blast traveled 473 feet, the second-longest home run ever recorded at Dodger Stadium, and he has seven homers of at least 450 feet this year. Ohtani leads the National League with 30 home runs and has reached that mark in four consecutive seasons. He's slashing .315/.401/.638 with 70 RBI, 78 runs, 23 steals and a 54:97 BB:K in 441 plate appearances.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Diamondbacks' Joc Pederson: On bench against lefty
Pederson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.
The left-handed Pederson will hit the bench for the second day in a row while the Diamondbacks face off against another southpaw in Cole Ragans. Randal Grichuk will replace Pederson at designated hitter.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Giants' Jorge Soler: Opens scoring with moonshot
Soler went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Rockies.
Soler's 478-foot blast on the fourth pitch of the game was the longest homer in the majors this season. It was his first long ball since July 2. The designated hitter has struggled to hit for power in his new home park in San Francisco -- he's at a .400 slugging percentage while batting .225 with 34 RBI, 49 runs scored and 20 doubles over 85 contests this season, but eight of his 11 long balls have come on the road.

Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Hits for cycle in Sunday's loss
Alvarez went 4-for-4 in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Mariners, hitting for the cycle for the first time in his career while finishing with two RBI and two runs.
Alvarez made history Sunday by completing the 10th cycle in Astros franchise history. He delivered a single in his first at-bat of the day, then followed with a solo home run in the fourth, an RBI triple in the sixth and a double in the eighth. The home run brings his total up to 20 for the season, a mark he has reached every year of his career outside of the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. Alvarez currently sits tied for eighth in baseball with a 163 OPS+ and is slashing .301/.385/.545 with 54 RBI, 58 runs and a 42:63 BB:K in 405 plate appearances.

Justyn-Henry Malloy 3B | TB
Tigers' Justyn-Henry Malloy: Blasts grand slam in loss
Malloy went 1-for-3 with a walk and a grand slam in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays.
Malloy provided all of his team's offense, taking Toronto starter Kevin Gausman deep in the fifth inning with the bases loaded. The rookie now has six home runs through 35 games as he continues to show good power potential. He's also been striking out roughly 33 percent of the time, though he encouragingly didn't have any strikeouts Sunday and drew his 14th walk of the season. If Malloy can continue to refine his approach at the plate, he could be primed for a strong finish to the year.
