Stanton went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a pair of strikeouts in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.

Stanton's 18th blast was a big one, as it was a walkoff with two outs in the ninth in a game the Yankees trailed by as many as five. The 28-year-old's first season in The Bronx has been a bit of a disappointment by his lofty standards, but he may finally be turning the corner; he's hitting .450 (9-for-20) with three homers and a double over the last five games, and .286 with seven long balls in 18 games since the start of June. With that recent stretch, he's now slashing .255/.329/.504 on the year.

Belt went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Marlins.

Belt mashed a ground rule double to knot up the score in what turned out to be a five-run sixth inning. The 30-year-old is now 5-for-19 with a homer and four RBI in five games since returning from the disabled list to bring his slash line to .305/.401/.543 on the year.

Canha, who went 2-for-3 with a walk in a win over the Padres on Tuesday, is hitting .317 in June after posting a .183 average over 90 plate appearances in May.

The outfielder's season average had seen precipitous 78-point drop to .231 due to his May slump, but it's back up to .250 as a result of his recent success. Canha has gone deep only once during the current month, but he's actually boosted his hard contact rate from May's 33.9 percent figure to 41.2 percent over his 48 June plate appearances. Canha's 175 at-bats exceed all but the amount he logged during his rookie 2015 campaign, and he's already halfway to the career-high 16 home runs he managed that season over 485 plate appearances.

McCutchen is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Marlins, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Over his last 16 games, McCutchen has hit .333/.347/.623 with five home runs. Mac Williamson will slide over to right field Wednesday with Hunter Pence getting the start in left.

Pederson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

Pederson led off -- as he usually does when penciled in the lineup -- and delivered his ninth home run of the season, eight of which have come during a torrid stretch in June. The 26-year-old's current hot streak has raised his slash line to .277/.351/.560 through 188 plate appearances. Pederson doesn't have an everyday role at the moment -- starting just 10 of the Dodgers' last 20 games -- but he should continue to play regularly against right-handed starters.

Carpenter went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, three RBI, a home run and a double in Tuesday's 7-6 win over Philadelphia.

Carpenter hit a home run for the third consecutive game with his ninth-inning shot Tuesday, giving the Cardinals the late lead over the Philllies. The 32-year-old now has a .239/.335/.465 slash line with 12 home runs and 30 RBI in 243 at-bats this season.

Turner is not in the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Cubs.

The veteran won't be asked to play two games in one day. Max Muncy will get the start at third base.

Ohtani (elbow) has begun a rehab regimen since being shut down June 8 with a Grade 2 UCL sprain, Avery Yang of MLB.com reports.

Thus far, Ohtani's activities have included one-armed swings, running and general strength training, but he seems unlikely to begin a throwing program until after being re-evaluated at the end of the month. While manager Mike Scioscia said Monday that the Angels' medical staff was "very optimistic" about Ohtani's prognosis and said the rookie's "swing is not impacting his ligament at all," the skipper declined to say whether Ohtani would be used as a hitter prior to resuming mound work.

Carpenter went 2-for-5 with a double and a solo home run in an extra-inning loss to the Phillies on Monday.

Carpenter opened the scoring for the Cardinals with a 363-foot shot to left in the third, his second in as many games and third over his last four contests. The veteran got off to an 0-for-11 start in June over the first three games of the month, but he's hitting .308 with three doubles, four home runs, six RBI, four walks and 10 runs in his last 12 games (56 plate appearances).

Cespedes (hip) "checked out well" in physical therapy Monday but is still not ready to resume baseball activities, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

While Cespedes hasn't been cleared for baseball activities, he resumed his rehab Monday and is hoping to advance to some weight-bearing exercises Tuesday. The veteran outfielder remains without a return date.
