Cabrera went 2-for-5 with a pair of three-run home runs in Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Twins.

The 37-year-old turned back the clock in this one, supplying all of Detroit's offense on two majestic bombs to left field. This was Cabrera's second game this season with two home runs, and he now has nine total long balls for the year. Four of those home runs have come in the last eight games, so the veteran seems to be finishing his season with a flourish.

Harper went 2-for-2 with two solo home runs, two additional runs scored and three walks during Wednesday's 12-3 win over the Nationals.

The 27-year-old has been battling a back issue recently but was in vintage form Wednesday, hitting a pair of solo homers and being intentionally walked in his other three plate appearances. Harper has a .256/.411/.533 slash line with 13 homers, 40 runs, 30 RBI and eight stolen bases in 55 games this season.

Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Wednesday's 5-2 win over San Diego.

The Halos went deep three times during the second inning, and Ohtani started things off with the 415-foot, two-run shot to right center. The 26-year-old was held out of the lineup last week against a string of left-handers, but he's 3-for-12 with two homers, five runs, four RBI and three walks over his past four games.

Pederson isn't in Wednesday's lineup against the Athletics.

Pederson returned to action Tuesday, but he'll retreat to the bench with lefty Sean Manaea on the mound for Oakland. Chris Taylor will start in left field with Enrique Hernandez taking over at second base.

Turner (hamstring) is starting Wednesday's game against the Athletics, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Turner has been limited by a left hamstring injury recently, and he was scratched from Tuesday's lineup as a result. However, he'll return to the starting lineup Wednesday, batting third and playing third base.

Miller isn't starting Wednesday against the Royals.

Miller broke out of a slump Tuesday as he reached base twice while plating a run in the win. He'll take a breather Wednesday with Rangel Ravelo serving as the designated hitter.

Carpenter isn't in Wednesday's lineup against the Royals.

Carpenter has reached base in each of the past three contests, but he's largely struggled late in the season. Tommy Edman will start at third base Wednesday.

Canha went 2-for-4 in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

The veteran snapped out of a 1-for-18 skid that had encompassed his last five games with Tuesday's effort. Canha's average was sitting at .292 as recently as Aug. 21, but he's slashed just .172/.308/.264 across the 27 games he's suited up for in the subsequent month since that point.

Miller went 1-for-3 with an RBI double, a walk and a run in a win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Miller's two-bagger to deep right in the fifth plated Paul Goldschmidt for the Cardinals' fourth run of the night. The veteran utility man snapped out of an 0-17 skid that had encompassed his seven prior games with Tuesday's effort, a span during which he saw his season average tumble 37 points to .236 thanks in large part to a 38.1 percent strikeout rate. Despite the struggles, Miller has maintained a near everyday role while filling the designated hitter spot.

Ozuna went 4-for-5 with two home runs, a double and five RBI in Tuesday's 11-1 win over the Marlins.

Ozuna smacked two of the Braves' five long balls on the night, giving Bryse Wilson (five shutout innings) plenty of run support in the right-hander's first start of 2020. Since opening September with a three-homer game, Ozuna hasn't slowed down much at the dish. He's slashing .379/.455/.759 with nine home runs, 30 RBI and 15 runs in 21 games on the month.
