Vogelbach is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Washington, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

  • Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Out with Achilles tightness

McCutchen (Achilles) is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Brewers.

McCutchen made an early exit from Monday's series opener against Milwaukee due to tightness in his left Achilles tendon and is considered day-to-day. Bryan Reynolds will serve as the Pirates' designated hitter Tuesday as Josh Palacios, Jack Suwinski and Miguel Andujar start across the outfield.

  • Nick Martini DH | COL

Reds' Nick Martini: Goes to bench Tuesday

Martini is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Hunter Renfroe will enter the lineup in the corner outfield as a replacement for Martini, who had started in all but three of the Reds' past 14 games. All three of his absences had come when the Reds faced left-handed pitchers, but the lefty-hitting Martini will sit against right-hander Bryce Miller on Tuesday. Martini's move to the bench comes amid a 4-for-27 slide at the plate over his last nine games.

  • Pirates' Andrew McCutchen: Leaves with Achilles tightness

McCutchen was removed from Monday's game against the Brewers due to left Achilles tendon tightness.

The team notes that McCutchen was removed simply as a precaution, so he'll be considered day-to-day moving forward. Miguel Andujar was called upon to pinch hit with McCutchen exiting early.

Brewers' Jesse Winker: Suffers new injury

Winker (back) hurt his right quad during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville and has been moved back to the 10-day injured list from his rehab assignment, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Winker hit .333 with a .480 OBP and zero home runs in 39 at-bats during his rehab assignment. It's unclear how serious this latest quad injury is, but Winker, who had been rehabbing back spasms, should be considered out indefinitely.

Giants' Joc Pederson: Out against left-hander

Pederson is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

He'll take a seat with the Cubbies sending left-hander Justin Steele to the hill. Mitch Haniger will be in left field.

Canha's been red hot of late, going 14-for-33 (.424) with a pair of homers in his last nine games. He extended Milwaukee's lead to 2-0 in the third inning Sunday with an opposite-field blast off Ranger Suarez. Meneses will head to the bench for just the ninth time all season and for the first time since July 28. His day off comes after he went 0-for-11 with four strikeouts over the first three games of the series. Prior to the dry spell at the dish, Meneses had cobbled together a seven-game hitting streak during which he batted .345 with seven RBI and three runs.
