Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Keeps crushing Thursday
Alvarez went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Yankees.
Alvarez went deep in the third inning to give the Astros a 6-3 lead, though it wasn't quite enough in the end. With four homers in three games since he returned from a minor hand injury, the 24-year-old is pounding the ball once again and showing no signs of slowing down in the middle of the campaign. He's up to 22 long balls, 54 RBI, 46 runs scored, eight doubles and a .317/.406/.665 slash line in 62 contests overall.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Pummels homer in win
Stanton went 1-for-3 with a three-home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Astros.
Alex Bregman opened the scoring with a three-run homer in the top of the first inning, but Stanton quickly answered it. The blast ended an 0-for-14 skid over Stanton's four previous games. He's had a poor June, going 7-for-52 (.135) this month, though he's salvaged some value with four homers, 10 RBI, 10 runs scored and a pair of doubles. The extended skid has seen the designated hitter's slash line drop to .246/.336/.493 with 15 homers, 45 RBI, 25 runs scored and five doubles in 57 contests overall.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Hits 60-day IL in procedural move
The White Sox transferred Jimenez (hamstring) to the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Thursday.
Thursday marks 60 days since Jimenez was initially placed on the IL on April 23 with a strained right hamstring that required surgery, so the transaction doesn't affect his timeline for returning to the 26-man active roster and merely opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Lenyn Sosa, whose contract was purchased from Double-A Birmingham. After his minor-league rehab assignment was paused for two weeks, Jimenez returned to action Tuesday for Triple-A Charlotte and has gone 1-for-8 with four strikeouts while playing on back-to-back days. The White Sox may want to give Jimenez some light exposure to the outfield this weekend before potentially reinstating him from the IL next week.

Byron Buxton DH | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Could be ready for weekend series
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said he's hopeful that Buxton (knee) will be ready to rejoin the lineup against the Rockies on Friday or Saturday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Buxton is out of the lineup for Thursday's series finale with the Guardians, marking his second absence in a row on account of his sore right knee. Baldelli clarified that Buxton is in a similar spot health-wise as he was a day earlier, with the skipper noting that the star outfielder is not yet able to comfortably swing a bat and run. The Twins believe that Buxton may need only another day or two of rest to move past the knee issue, but the 28-year-old's sketchy track record on the health front means that fantasy managers can't take it as a guarantee he'll be ready to go by the weekend.

Byron Buxton DH | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: Out again with knee issue
Buxton (knee) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Guardians.
Nick Gordon will pick up a second straight start in center field while Buxton remains bothered by a sore right knee, which flared up following Tuesday's 6-5 loss. Per Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com, manager Rocco Baldelli said after Wednesday's 11-10 loss that Buxton wasn't moving around very well, but the skipper didn't suggest that the 28-year-old was a candidate for the 10-day injured list. Even so, fantasy managers will want to keep close tabs on Buxton's status heading into the weekend, given his injury history.

Brad Miller DH | SD
Rangers' Brad Miller: Knocks in two in win
Miller started at designated hitter and went 1-for-3 with two RBI in Wednesday's 4-2 win over Philadelphia.
Miller filled in for Mitch Garver, who was given a rest day after coming off the injured list Tuesday. Josh H. Smith started in left field while Ezequiel Duran worked at third base, the two positions at which Miller has played the most in 2022. With the Rangers signaling a youth movement, Miller's opportunities may dwindle going forward. The one thing in his favor is clutch hitting. The veteran ranks fifth on the team with 27 RBI, and he has a .931 OPS with runners in scoring position.

Ji-Man Choi 1B | NYM
Rays' Ji-Man Choi: Reaches base three times
Choi went 2-for-3 with a walk Wednesday against the Yankees.
Choi reached base multiple times for the fifth time in his last six games. He's walked six times in that span, increasing his on-base percentage to .389 on the season. That's helped him maintain a .873 OPS across 186 plate appearances -- which would be his highest mark as a Ray.

Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR
White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Back in action with Charlotte
Jimenez (hamstring) went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.
Jimenez started at designated hitter for the second consecutive game with Charlotte. He's gone 1-for-8 and has shown no sign of a setback. While the progress is encouraging, it may be a few days before Jimenez is activated if the White Sox want him to see some work in the outfield.

Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Astros' Michael Brantley: Tallies 26th RBI
Brantley went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Mets.
Brantley did all of his damage in the first inning as part of a four-run rally by the Astros. He has at least one hit in 15 of his 16 starts in June, also racking up 10 RBI and 11 runs scored while hitting .381. Brantley continues to be a steady producer, as he now has a very familiar .298/.378/.434 line across 260 plate appearances on the season.

Jesse Winker DH | NYM
Mariners' Jesse Winker: Homers again Wednesday
Winker went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 9-0 win over the Athletics.
Winker contributed an RBI single in the third inning and a two-run blast in the fifth. He's homered in consecutive contests for the first time all year, and three of his last four hits have gone for extra bases. The outfielder is up to a .219/.337/.335 slash line, six long balls, 29 RBI and 22 runs scored through 68 contests. It's too soon to say he's shaking off his season-long power outage, but it's clear he's making some progress in that area, though that could also be a product of facing the Athletics' pitching.
