Miguel Cabrera DH | DET
Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Returns to lineup Sunday
Cabrera is starting at designated hitter and batting seventh in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
Cabrera got the day off Saturday but will return Sunday. The veteran is off to a slow start, with just three hits in 17 at-bats so far. He should continue to receive regular days off moving forward, and his days as a fixture in the middle of the order are long gone.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Clubs third homer
Stanton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Orioles.
He crushed an Austin Voth offering to left field in the fifth inning that traveled an estimated 436 feet, capping the scoring on the night. Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU
Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Slugs grand slam
Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a grand slam Saturday against the Twins.
Alvarez came to the plate with the bases loaded in the third inning and took Joe Ryan deep to tally his third homer of the season. He now has at least one hit in seven of eight games on the campaign and has also racked up six runs scored and 14 RBI. Alvarez's injury scare during spring training hasn't affected his performance, and he should be among the elite hitters in the league assuming he can remain healthy.

Twins' Byron Buxton: Smacks first homer of 2023
Buxton went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 9-6 victory over the Astros.

The 29-year-old is now 10-for-30 with three RBI and six runs scored through seven games. The Twins are having Buxton serve as the DH in an effort to keep him healthy, and he is back in the leadoff spot for Minnesota, replacing Max Kepler (knee), after opening the season in the three hole.

Franmil Reyes DH | WAS
Royals' Franmil Reyes: Not starting Friday
Reyes isn't in Kansas City's lineup for Friday's game with the Giants.
Friday marks the second consecutive game that Reyes will begin on the bench after starting the year 1-for-13 at the plate. The 27-year-old slugger will surely get more opportunities as the Royals' DH, but Friday that job will go to Vinnie Pasquantino. Hunter Dozier will shift to first base, opening up third base for Matt Duffy, who will bat ninth.
