Bart (hamstring) ran on the basepaths before Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Bart has been on the injured list since Aug. 26 due to a strained left hamstring, and Tuesday appears to be the first time he's done any sort of running since then. He's expected to rejoin the active roster before the end of the season, though it's still unclear how close he is to a return.

Manager Aaron Boone said Wells, who is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers, had X-rays on his hand come back negative, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

The 25-year-old is dealing with some soreness after being hit by a pitch in Monday's contest, but it appears he's avoided a serious injury. The Yankees have a team day off Thursday, so the club could keep Wells on the bench again Wednesday to provide him three straight days to recover from the injury.

The Giants optioned Sabol to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Playing time has been hard to come by in the majors for Sabol, as this is now the second time he's been optioned back to Triple-A after a few days in the big leagues without playing in a game. Luis Matos was recalled from the minors to fill the open roster spot.

Heim is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

Heim and Carson Kelly have alternated starts behind the plate over the past seven games, and that trend will continue Tuesday after Heim went 0-for-4 with an RBI and two strikeouts in Monday's contest.

Amaya isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.

Amaya will take a seat Tuesday after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout during a loss in Monday's series opener. Christian Bethancourt will start behind the dish instead and bat ninth.

The Marlins designated Sanchez for assignment Tuesday.

Miami selected the 27-year-old's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on June 21, and he primarily served as a backup catcher during his time with the big club. Jhonny Pereda is now poised to fill that role after Sanchez posted a .167/.211/.190 slash line in 31 games.

Wells is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Rangers.

With southpaw Andrew Heaney on the hill for Texas, Wells will grab a seat. Jose Trevino is doing the catching for the Yankees.

Wong is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Mets.

Wong had started each of the last four games, although one of those starts came at second base. It will be Danny Jansen doing the catching for the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Athletics on Monday.

Raleigh squared up an Osvaldo Bido four-seam fastball in the first inning with J.P. Crawford aboard, giving the Mariners an early 2-0 lead via a 386-foot shot to right field. The power-hitting backstop snapped a 12-game homerless drought in the process, not to mention an 0-for-18 skid that had encompassed the previous four games. Raleigh now sits just three home runs away from surpassing the career-high 30 he belted in 2023, while his total of 82 RBI is already a new personal best.

Pages went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs during Monday's 9-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Pages was the only Cardinal to have success against Brewers starter Freddy Peralta, tagging Peralta for solo homers in the third and fifth innings. It was the 25-year-old catcher's first career multi-homer game, bringing his season total to five long balls. Pages is slashing .248/.292/.389 in 162 plate appearances and should continue to split playing time with Ivan Herrera in the absence of Willson Contreras (finger).
