Collins was named the International League Player of the Week, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The 24-year-old catcher/first baseman hit .458 with four home runs, three doubles, nine RBI and eight runs scored in seven game for Triple-A Charlotte.

Collins has been hitting a ton since a lackluster introduction to the majors (2-for-26) during a three-week stretch from June to July. He's slashing .375/.470/.698 with seven home runs, 10 doubles and 29 RBI over 27 games since he was sent back to the Knights. The White Sox want Collins, who has a 16.9 BB% in the minors, to be more aggressive at the plate. It looks like that lesson has finally taken root, as he dropped his walk rate to 14.5 BB% over the last month. "Taking pitches just for the sake of taking pitches is not a formula for success," White Sox manager Rick Renteria said. "The approach that you have to take is strike-to-ball as oppose to ball-to-strike. If you're trying to wait to recognize a strike, it's a little tough. You have to be ready to strike and recognize and check your swing for balls that are not manageable. He understood that and took it to heart."

Garver is not in the lineup Monday against the White Sox, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Garver is hitting just .175 with three home runs and a .683 OPS through 10 games this month. As such, he'll sit for a second straight game in favor of Jason Castro.

Thaiss is not in Monday's lineup against the Rangers.

He went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double and four RBI in Sunday's game against the White Sox. Thaiss is now hitting .265 with one home run and 15 strikeouts in 14 games this month. David Fletcher starts at third base in his stead.

Narvaez is not starting Monday against the Rays, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.

Narvaez will give way to Tom Murphy behind the dish for a second straight game with another lefty in Brendan McKay starting for the opposition.

Stallings is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Nationals.

Stallings battled a migraine early last week but returned to start two of the Pirates' three games against the Cubs, including Sunday's 7-1 loss in the MLB Little League Classic in Williamsport, Pa. Though Stallings appears to have secured the top spot on the Pirates' depth chart at catcher, he'll cede a turn behind the plate to Elias Diaz in the series opener.

Nido went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs Sunday in the Mets' 11-5 win over the Royals.

Nido's first double of the game came in the seventh inning and ended an 0-for-24 stretch for the backup catcher. While his performance in the series finale was an encouraging step forward, Nido isn't expected to eat into Wilson Ramos' playing time very much while the Mets remain in the hunt for a wild-card spot.

Bemboom went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a victory over the White Sox on Sunday.

In his final at-bat of the game, Bemboom launched a 422-foot shot to right field with a man aboard. The blast was his first major-league home run and just the fourth base hit of any kind in his career. Prior to joining the Angels on August 11, the 29-year-old had spent eight seasons in the minors, collecting 34 long balls in 497 games.

D'Arnaud went 1-for-3 with a double, a sacrifice fly and a run in a win over the Tigers on Sunday.

D'Arnaud continued his resurgence from a recent slump, and he crossed the plate with the winning run on Ji-Man Choi's single in the ninth. The veteran has now hit safely in three of the last four games following an 0-for-20 skid that encompassed five contests earlier in the month.

Hedges went 4-for-4 with a solo home run in a 3-2 victory against the Phillies on Sunday.

This really came out of nowhere. Hedges came into the afternoon batting below .200 for the season and was just 1-for-17 (.059) during August. Before Sunday, he had four hits in his previous 11 games. Hedges has shown some pop this season, but with a .197 average, he's still not worth rostering in standard leagues. He has nine homers, 31 RBI and 20 runs in 244 at-bats.

Thaiss opened the game's scoring with a three-run shot off White Sox starter Dylan Cease. The 24-year-old infielder has six homers since his MLB debut on July 3.
