Baty isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Baty will get a breather Saturday after going 2-for-4 with a home run in Friday's series opener. His absence will give Jeff McNeil a start at second base, opening up center field for Tyrone Taylor.

Norby went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Brewers.

The third baseman took Quinn Priester deep in the fourth inning, snapping a 13-game homer drought for Norby and giving him his fifth long ball of the season. He's had trouble building much momentum at the plate after getting a belated start to the campaign due to an oblique injury he suffered in spring training. Since the beginning of June, Norby's slashing just .204/.262/.286 with two homers, three steals, eight RBI and 11 runs in 28 contests.

Espinal started at second base and went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 9-6 win over Philadelphia.

Espinal, who was a prominent member of the third-base rotation while Noelvi Marte was on the 10-day injured list, was moved off the hot corner Friday with Marte's return. He drew the start at second base while Matt McLain served as the Reds' designated hitter, but Espinal's inclusion in the lineup was likely a byproduct of the Phillies sending a lefty starter (Jesus Luzardo) to the hill. The right-handed-hitting Espinal isn't expected to see regular playing time versus righties now that Marte is back in the fold.

Marte went 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Friday's 9-6 win over the Phillies.

Marte was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday and started at third base. He's expected to be the primary starter at the hot corner, but manager Terry Francona could occasionally use the position to get at-bats for others.

Westburg went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 win over Atlanta.

The 26-year-old infielder got the O's on the board when he sent a 96 mph fastball from Spencer Strider the other way over the right-fiend wall in the third inning. Westburg is attempting to play through a sprained index finger on his left hand, an injury that had limited him to just two starts and five plate appearances over Baltimore's prior 10 games, but Friday's performance is a good sign that he'll be able to manage the issue. It's been a tough year overall for Westburg on the health front, and he's suited up for only 37 contests while slashing .243/.298/.464 with eight homers, a steal, 15 RBI and 21 runs.

Durbin went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases in Friday's 6-5 win over the Marlins.

The rookie drove Miami pitchers to distraction, and Durbin's presence on second base caused Sandy Alcantara to balk him over to third in the third inning, leading directly to Milwaukee's first run of the night. Durbin continued a hot streak that has seen him slash .387/.451/.500 over his last 19 games with two homers, three steals, nine RBI and an impressive 17 runs despite the fact that he hasn't hit any higher than seventh in the order against right-handed pitching.

Suarez went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and a hit-by-pitch in Friday's 9-3 loss to the Royals.

Suarez has three homers over his last five games, which accounts for all three of his hits in that span. The third baseman avoided striking out Friday after racking up 14 strikeouts over his previous six contests. He's fourth in the majors with 28 homers and has added a .252/.320/.570 slash line, 72 RBI, 53 runs scored, 16 doubles and a stolen base over 86 games.

Paredes went 1-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Friday's 18-1 win over the Dodgers.

He took Ben Casparius' first pitch of the game over the fence in left field. Paredes has gone 10-for-31 (.323) with two homers, three RBI and five runs scored over his last seven games. The infielder has looked good out of the leadoff spot since Jeremy Pena (ribs) landed on the injured list. Paredes has a .255/.357/.468 slash line with 18 homers, 48 RBI, 46 runs scored, no stolen bases, 11 doubles and one triple through 84 contests. His steady plate discipline makes him a viable leadoff hitter, though he shouldn't be expected to show any speed while atop the lineup.

McKinstry went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's 2-1 win over the Guardians.

McKinstry has seen a more reliable, consistent role since the injury to Kerry Carpenter (hamstring), and he rewarded his team with what turned out to be the game-winning homer Friday. The 30-year-old McKinstry now has six home runs as part of a season in which he is slashing .289/.361/.462 with eight doubles and 26 RBI.

The 25-year-old infielder cracked his ninth home run of the season and his first since June 14. With Mark Vientos continuing to struggle -- he owns a .636 OPS in 2025 -- the door remains open for Baty to settle into a strong-side platoon role at third base going forward. Even so, Baty hasn't performed much better at the plate this year, as he's slashing just .224/.275/.410 with seven doubles, two triples and 29 RBI over 223 plate appearances.
