  • Mets' Jose Iglesias: Racks up four hits

Iglesias went 4-for-4 with two runs scored during Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Rockies.

Iglesias reached safely in all five of his plate appearances and tied a career high with four hits. The veteran second baseman has been integral to the Mets' turnaround, slashing .380/.417/.582 with three home runs, 14 runs, 16 RBI and an 8.3 percent K rate since joining the Mets' 26-man roster May 31.

  • Ronny Mauricio SS | NYM

Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Begins running, hitting

Mauricio (knee) was cleared to begin running and hitting in late May, MLB.com reports.

Mauricio opened the season on the 60-day injured list after he tore the ACL in his right knee in December while playing in the Dominican Winter League. He underwent surgery in January and is facing a projected recovery timeline of 8-to-12 months, leaving the door open for the 23-year-old infielder to return from the IL in September. While Mets vice president of player development Andy Green said May 31 that "everything is progressing as it should" with regard to Mauricio's recovery, the organization won't have a clear idea on whether he'll be able to return from the IL in 2024 until later in the summer.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Reaches 30-steal mark

Turang went 1-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Nationals.

Turang has struggled at the plate in July, going 9-for-48 (.188) over his first 13 games this month. That's also put a damper on his best attribute, his speed, as he's been able to log just two steals on three attempts in that span. Turang has 30 thefts on 35 attempts this year -- good for second in the majors behind only the Reds' Elly De La Cruz -- while adding six home runs, 38 RBI, 45 runs scored and a .277/.341/.390 slash line through 93 contests.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Nursing minor shoulder issue

Garcia was scratched from Sunday's lineup with a sore left shoulder, but he should be fine when the second half opens Friday at home against the Reds, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Manager Davey Martinez said the training staff looked at Garcia and didn't find anything to be concerned about. Ildemaro Vargas got the nod at the keystone in Garcia's absence.

  • Jorbit Vivas 3B | WAS

Yankees' Jorbit Vivas: Sent back to minors

The Yankees optioned Vivas to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

Vivas was called up from Triple-A on Friday but went unused throughout the weekend and is still awaiting his MLB debut. He'll get regular playing time once he rejoins Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, with whom he was slashing .258/.404/.424 over 166 plate appearances on the season prior to receiving a promotion.

  • Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU

Angels' Luis Guillorme: Scratched with sore back

Guillorme was scratched from the Angels lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners due to back tightness, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Guillorme had been in line to make just his third start in the last seven games, but the back injury thwarted those plans. With Guillorme hitting the bench due to the back issue, Brandon Drury will shift over from the keystone to man third base in Guillorme's stead, while Keston Hiura enters the starting nine at second base.

  • Luis Guillorme 3B | HOU

Angels' Luis Guillorme: Returns to utility role

Guillorme will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Mariners.

Though he's in the lineup for the Angels' final game before the All-Star break, Guillorme's brief run as a regular in the Anaheim lineup following Luis Rengifo's (wrist) placement on the injured list July 5 seems to have come to an end. Anthony Rendon -- who is resting Sunday -- came off the IL on Monday, and he had started in each of the last six games. Guillorme, meanwhile, started just twice during that six-game stretch.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | WAS

Nationals' Luis Garcia: Late scratch from lineup

The Nationals scratched Garcia from the lineup for Sunday's game in Milwaukee for an unspecified reason.

Expect the Nationals to provide an explanation behind Garcia's removal from the starting nine later Sunday. Ildemaro Vargas will replace Garcia at second base and will bat seventh.

  • Adam Frazier 2B | LAA

Royals' Adam Frazier: Getting run out of leadoff spot

Frazier will start at third base and bat leadoff in Sunday's game in Boston.

Though he'll stick in the lineup for the fifth time in six games as the Royals' leadoff man, Frazier doesn't yet look to be a fixture in the Kansas City starting nine. He's turned in a .235 on-base percentage in his previous four turns atop the lineup, and he's also made starts at four different positions (third base, second base, right field and designated hitter) during that stretch. Instead, Frazier's inclusion in the lineup appears to be a means of Royals manager Matt Quatraro giving rest days to regulars such as Maikel Garcia, who will take a seat Sunday in the series finale.

  • Reds' Jonathan India: Cleared to start Sunday

India (knee) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Sunday's game against the Marlins.

India suffered a left knee contusion in Saturday's 10-6 win and was lifted from the game after three innings, but his presence in the lineup a day later suggests his early exit was likely just precautionary. Assuming India can get through Sunday's game unscathed, he'll have ample time to rest up over the All-Star break before the Reds return to action next Friday in Washington.
