Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Could return Friday
Manager Terry Francona said Wednesday that he's hopeful Naylor (illness) will be able to return to the lineup Friday against the Tigers, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
The Guardians have a scheduled day off following Wednesday's series finale against the Reds, and Francona is hopeful that Naylor will be able to return to action for Friday's series opener against Detroit after spending a week on the COVID-19 injured list. The 24-year-old was off to a hot start to the season prior to his absence, as he hit .347 with five homers, four doubles, 22 RBI and 10 runs over 20 games.

Vinnie Pasquantino 1B | KC
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Showing power, patience in Triple-A
Pasquantino is hitting .240/.362/.512 with eight homers and a 22:23 BB:K through 35 games for Triple-A Omaha.
It's not a bad batting line, but the batting average certainly has to be considered disappointing for a guy with Pasquantino's contact skills. That said, he's sitting on a .226 BABIP, so he should be able to pull his average up as the season wears on. Right now, it looks like Pasquantino is likely to beat fellow Royals first-base prospect Nick Pratto to the big leagues, though the team seems content to wait for both of them to force their way up.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Remains out of lineup
Wade (knee) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Rockies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.
The 28-year-old was out of the lineup Tuesday due to stiffness in the back of his knee, and he'll remain on the bench to begin Wednesday's matchup. However, left-hander Kyle Freeland is on the mound for the Rockies, so Wade likely would've gotten a day off anyway. Wade's next chance to return to the lineup will be Friday against the Padres. Darin Ruf, Austin Slater and Mike Yastrzemski will start in the outfield from left to right.

Kyle Manzardo 1B | CLE
Rays' Kyle Manzardo: Back from IL
Manzardo (undisclosed) has gone 5-for-18 with a run scored in his first four games since returning from High-A Bowling Green's 7-day injured list May 12.
The 21-year-old first baseman missed just under a month with the unspecified injury. For the season, Manzardo is hitting .324 with three doubles and an 8:7 BB:K through 44 plate appearances with Bowling Green.

Evan White 1B | LAA
Mariners' Evan White: Ready for rehab assignment
White (groin) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
White is finally ready for game action after he was diagnosed with a sports hernia late in spring training that required surgery March 30. Because he's been out for the better part of two months, White will likely stay on the rehab assignment for close to the full 20-day window in order to pick up at-bats and get his timing back at the plate. Once activated from the 60-day injured list, White could be viewed as a potential option for the Mariners at designated hitter, where the club has rotated a number of players this season.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Drives in three in twin bill
Goldschmidt went 4-for-9 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader split with the Mets.
The veteran first baseman supplied the Cardinals' only run of the matinee with a solo shot off Drew Smith in the eighth inning, but that only warmed Goldschmidt up for the nightcap as he went 3-for-5 with RBI two-baggers in the fourth and fifth frames. He extended his hitting streak to 10 games in the process, a stretch during which he's slashing .439/.465/.878 with an incredible nine doubles, three homers, a steal, eight runs and 12 RBI.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Scores three runs
Cron went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored Tuesday against the Giants.
Cron extended his hitting streak to five games with the strong performance, his third multi-hit effort over that span. He's also scored seven runs and driven in four while hitting .455 overall during the sample. Cron hasn't gone yard since May 3, but he has still maintained a very productive .321/.368/.593 line across 152 plate appearances on the season.

Keston Hiura 2B | LAD
Brewers' Keston Hiura: Recalled by Brewers
Hiura was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.
Hiura spent the first month of the season on the major-league roster and hit .216 with two homers, five runs, five RBI and a stolen base. After going 8-for-19 with three homers, 10 RBI and three runs over five games in Nashville, the 25-year-old will rejoin the major-league club to provide additional infield depth after Willy Adames (ankle) was placed on the 10-day IL.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Power surge continues
Gurriel went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and three runs scored Tuesday against Boston.
Gurriel closed a nine-run second inning for the Astros with his third homer of the season. Though his power output has been modest to begin the campaign, Gurriel has hit all three of his home runs in his last five starts, also chipping in seven RBI and six runs scored while hitting .500. That has improved his line to .248/.287/.430 across 129 plate appearances.

Kole Calhoun 1B | CLE
Rangers' Kole Calhoun: Turns around quickly
Calhoun went 2-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 win over the Angels.
Calhoun was hitting just .167 a week ago but has turned that around in hurry. Over the last seven games, the 34-year-old outfielder is 10-for-24 (.417) with five extra-base hits (three homers), 10 RBI and five runs scored. While the .229 average isn't much to look at, Calhoun is trending well at the moment.
