Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Racks up four hits in win
Freeman went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double and four total RBI in an 8-4 victory versus the Padres on Saturday.
Freeman was a thorn in San Diego's side Saturday, reaching base four times and driving in half of Los Angeles' eight runs. He singled in the Dodgers' first run in the third inning, doubled home another run in the fifth and swatted a two-run homer in the seventh. This was Freeman's fifth four-hit game of the campaign, and he leads the majors with 51 multi-hit performances on the season. He also ranks first with 178 hits and 45 doubles while leading qualified hitters with a .330 batting average. For good measure, Freeman has racked up 19 homers, 90 RBI, 102 runs and 11 stolen bases.

C.J. Cron 1B | BOS
Rockies' C.J. Cron: Belts another homer
Cron went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 4-1 win over Arizona.
Cron's sixth-inning homer didn't travel quite as far as the 504-foot blast he crushed Friday, but the 457-foot shot was plenty deep to bring home three runs and provide the margin of victory for Colorado in the contest. The slugger went deep only twice in 25 games in August, but he's already hit four homers through nine contests in September. Cron is tied for seventh in the National League with 28 homers on the campaign.

Yuli Gurriel DH | SD
Astros' Yuli Gurriel: Posts three hits in loss
Gurriel went 3-for-4 in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Angels.
Gurriel benefited from receiving a day off Friday. His first-inning single led to an error that generated the Astros' lone run in Saturday's contest. Gurriel had gone 11 games without a multi-hit effort, hitting just .125 in that span. His batting average has yet to exceed .250 this year after Game 1 was in the books, and it's currently at .242 with a .654 OPS, seven home runs, 43 RBI, 47 runs scored and eight stolen bases through 126 contests. Despite the poor performance, he continues to see regular playing time at first base.

Matt Beaty 1B | KC
Padres' Matt Beaty: Designated for assignment
Beaty was designated for assignment by the Padres on Saturday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Beaty saw limited playing time after being called up by the Padres at the beginning of September, and he went 0-for-6 with two strikeouts over three games. However, he'll lose his spot on the 40-man roster after Austin Nola was reinstated from the paternity list Saturday.

Calhoun started the last two games and went 1-for-8 with an RBI and four strikeouts. Adolis Garcia will serve as the designated hitter and bat cleanup Saturday.

Phillies' Alec Bohm: Heads to bench
Bohm will sit Saturday against the Nationals.
Bohm will sit for the first time in over two weeks. He's hit .309/.328/.400 in 13 games since his last time on the bench. Edmundo Sosa will handle the hot corner Saturday.

Josh Naylor 1B | SEA
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Knocks 20th double
Naylor went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 win over the Twins.
Naylor delivered an RBI single to open the scoring in the first inning. He also scored on both of Oscar Gonzalez's home runs in the contest. Through seven games in September, Naylor has hit .310 (9-for-29) with three extra-base hits, three RBI and three runs scored. The 25-year-old's bouncing back from a cold August, and he's up to a .265/.318/.457 slash line with 17 homers, 20 doubles, five stolen bases, 64 RBI and 38 runs scored through 101 games this year.

Red Sox's Triston Casas: Not starting Saturday
Casas isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Orioles.
Casas started the last five games and went 2-for-18 with a two-run home run, two walks and seven strikeouts. He'll get a day off while Christian Arroyo starts at first base and bats seventh.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Marlins' Garrett Cooper: Carries offense in Friday's win
Cooper went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-3 win over the Mets.
He took David Peterson deep in the first inning to give the Marlins a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Cooper is heating up again, reeling off three straight multi-hit performances to end a 2-for-32 slump over his prior 10 games since returning from the IL in late August.
