Michael Busch 3B | CHC
Cubs' Michael Busch: Not starting Sunday
Busch is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Even with right-hander Sonny Gray taking the mound for the Cardinals on Sunday, the lefty-hitting Busch will begin the series finale in the dugout. Patrick Wisdom will start at first base in Busch's stead and will bat eighth.

Jose Abreu 1B | HOU
Astros' Jose Abreu: Set to be called up Monday
Astros manager Joe Espada said Sunday that Abreu will be recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Abreu was optioned to the Astros' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate April 30 after he produced a lowly .099/.156/.113 slash line with three RBI over 77 plate appearances to begin the season. After taking some time off to refine his plate approach, the 37-year-old resumed playing in the FCL beginning May 17 and went 7-for-22 with two doubles, one home run and three RBI across five games. Abreu then moved up to Triple-A Sugar Land this weekend, and despite a pair of hitless showings with the club, the Astros saw enough from the veteran first baseman to have him return to the big leagues. He's still likely to play second fiddle at first base to Jonathan Singleton upon being recalled, though the right-handed-hitting Abreu could end up occupying the short side of a platoon.

Tyler Soderstrom C | ATH
Athletics' Tyler Soderstrom: Losing hold of regular role
Soderstrom is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
The lefty-hitting Soderstrom finds himself on the bench for the fourth time in five games, with three of his absences coming when the Athletics have faced right-handed starters. After slashing .211/.302/.368 since getting called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on May 8, Soderstrom appears to have lost hold of his regular role at first base.

Pirates' Rowdy Tellez: Idle against lefty
Tellez is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against Atlanta.
With Atlanta bringing southpaw Chris Sale to the mound, the lefty-hitting Tellez will retreat to the bench. Even with the Pirates recently optioning another key left-handed bat in Jack Suwinski to the minors, Tellez doesn't look as though he'll necessarily be locked into a regular role against right-handed pitching, either. He was held out of the starting nine for Saturday's 4-1 win while righty Reynaldo Lopez started for Atlanta.

Garrett Cooper 1B | ATL
Red Sox's Garrett Cooper: Back in lineup Sunday
Cooper (shoulder) will bat third as the Red Sox's designated hitter Sunday against the Brewers, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
The 33-year-old has recently been battling a shoulder issue, and he's in the starting lineup Sunday for the first time in a week. Cooper has struggled in 16 games since joining the Red Sox with a .205/.271/.295 slash line in 48 plate appearances.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Absent from lineup Sunday
Wade (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets
Wade tweaked his hamstring in the ninth inning of San Fransisco's 8-7 win over the Mets on Friday, and he'll be out of the lineup for the second straight game as the two clubs finish up their series. Wilmer Flores will fill in at first base for Wade and will bat fifth.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Puts game out of reach
Harper went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Rockies.
Harper hit an RBI single in the first inning and added a three-run homer in the ninth that gave the Phillies all the offense they needed in the win. He's hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games, going 16-for-46 (.348) with four homers and 12 RBI in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old is up to a .282/.389/.554 slash line with 13 homers, 41 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases and nine doubles over 48 contests.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Athletics' J.D. Davis: Getting breather Saturday
Davis is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.
He will begin Saturday's game on the bench after four consecutive starts. Davis recorded a hit in each of those four games, going 7-for-16 with two home runs and three RBI over that span. Brent Rooker will serve as the designated hitter Saturday while Tyler Soderstrom starts at first base against right-hander Spencer Arrighetti.

Jonathan Singleton DH | HOU
Astros' Jon Singleton: Sitting vs. southpaw
Singleton is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics.
With the Athletics sending out left-hander JP Sears for Saturday's contest, Singleton will begin the game in the dugout while the righty-hitting Mauricio Dubon draws the start at first base. Over his last 10 games, Singleton has gone 8-for-34 with five runs, one home run and four RBI.
