Hoskins (mouth) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Hoskins will miss a second straight game as he continues to deal with a cut on his lip, an injury he suffered after fouling a ball off his mouth during Monday's series opener. The Phillies don't believe the issue is anything concerning, but they'll continue to play it safe with the young outfielder. Nick Williams will pick up another start in the outfield in his stead.

Through 50 games with Double-A Binghamton this season, Alonso, 23, is hitting .333/.460/.632 with 14 home runs and 42 RBI across 213 plate appearances.

Alonso was highly impressive during his late-season promotion to Binghamton in 2017, but he has taken his game to a whole new level in his first extended action in the Eastern League. His 14 home runs lead the circuit, while his on-base percentage trails only uber prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (.474) among players with at least 40 games played. Perhaps even more than his solid power production, Alonso's improved approach at the plate has elevated him on prospect lists. He owns a 35:41 BB:K for the season, with his 17 percent walk rate doubling his career mark entering 2018. While the Mets have another well-regarded first-base prospect in Dominic Smith at Triple-A Las Vegas, Smith has been seeing more reps in the corner outfield of late, an indication the organization may be viewing Alonso as its preferred first baseman of the future.

Cabrera went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Braves.

His blasts in the third and fifth innings propelled the Mets to a 5-2 lead, which the bullpen once again failed to protect. After hitting 14 homers in 135 games last season, Cabrera already has 10 through 51 contests in 2018 to go along with an impressive .315/.353/.550 slash line.

Bour went 2-for-4 with a double and two strikeouts in Tuesday's loss to the Padres.

The two-bagger extended Bour's streak to a modest three straight with an extra-base hit and he's gone 6-for-12 with three runs scored in that span. The Miami lineup typically won't provide many run-producing opportunities for the 30-year-old, so he'll need to improve upon his .248 average and .467 slugging percentage -- both of which would be career lows over a full season -- to really get going.

Cron went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Athletics.

Cron began a parade of solo home runs for the Rays, as all four of the club's runs in the win came via solo jacks. The 28-year-old has a career-best .809 OPS and needs just four more home runs the remainder of the year to match his personal high of 16.

Rizzo went 2-for-3 with two walks, a double and a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.

Rizzo extended his hitting streak to 11 games and he now has home runs in the last two contests. The 28-year-old first baseman got off to a slow start this season, but it looks like he's rounding into his usual form at the plate.

Goldschmidt is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.

Goldschmidt will head to the bench for what appears to be a regular day off after starting the previous 27 games, a stretch during which he hit just .149/.252/.248 with 38 strikeouts in 115 plate appearances. Daniel Descalso will start at first base and hit cleanup in his stead.

Blandino hasn't started a game since May 20 against the Cubs, though he's been a pinch hitter in nearly every game that he hasn't started since the return of Eugenio Suarez. However, he is in the starting lineup Tuesday night against the Diamondbacks, batting leadoff and playing shortstop.

Blandino has hit .268/.355/.329 in his time with the big club this year, with just three extra-base hits and no stolen bases so far. Unless and until the Reds give up on Jose Peraza or decide to trade Scooter Gennett, there's just not a path for playing time for him. Making matters more urgent for him is that Nick Senzel just returned to Triple-A Louisville from extended spring training, and the Reds will likely want to get a look at him by the end of the summer.

White went 3-for-5 with two runs in High-A Modesto's win over Stockton on Monday.

White now boasts an 11-game hitting streak during which he's slashing .395/.447/.674 with two doubles, two triples, two home runs, seven RBI, four walks and eight runs. The 22-year-old's average has risen 31 points to .294 over that stretch, and he certainly appears to be acclimating to the jump in competition after having played in the Northwest League during his first season of pro ball in 2017.
