Olson went 2-for-5 with a double in an extra-innings loss to the Mariners on Wednesday.

Olson's modest hot streak continued Wednesday, with his production vaulting his tally to 6-for-15 with three doubles, two RBI, a walk and a run over the last four games. The 24-year-old has improved on a lackluster July over the first half of August, as he's now hitting .267 during the current month and is just one double short of the six he compiled over 25 July games.

Kirilloff went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles Wednesday in High-A Fort Myers' 3-2 win over Charlotte.

The outfielder extended his hit streak to 13 games with his fourth four-hit performance of the season. The 20-year-old hasn't shown much over-the-fence power (four homers in 209 plate appearances) since moving up to the Florida State League, but he has still maintained a solid .188 ISO thanks to his ample doubles output.

Santana is out of the starting lineup for Game 1 of Thursday's twin bill versus the Mets, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Santana will remain on the bench as right-hander Corey Oswalt takes the mound for New York in the matinee. Expect to see Santana back in the lineup during Game 2, especially with southpaw Steven Matz (forearm) slated to come off the DL and pitch. Justin Bour will man first base and bat second in Game 1.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI for Triple-A Las Vegas in Wednesday's win over Fresno.

The homer was his 15th since a promotion to Triple-A and 30th overall on the campaign. Alonso, the Mets' No. 2 fantasy prospect, is slashing .251/.354/.560 through 50 games with Las Vegas, and while the 23-year-old isn't on the 40-man roster and is thus unlikely to get a September callup, he could begin slugging home runs for the big club as soon as next April.

Gurriel went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a home run, two RBI and three runs scored in Wednesday's 12-1 win over Colorado.

Gurriel was one of many bats in the Houston lineup to break out of a fallow period. He was on a 4-for-26 skid with no RBI over the past eight games before Wednesday. The homer was merely his seventh in 100 games, and it snapped a 28-game streak without a one.

Flores went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI during Wednesday's win over the Orioles.

Flores bookended New York's 16-5 win over Baltimore, getting the Mets on the board in the first inning with a sacrifice fly before capping things off with a two-run homer in the ninth frame. It was his sixth multi-hit effort this month, a 14-game stretch during which the 27-year-old is hitting a solid .302/.361/.491 with two homers and eight RBI.

Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a homer, a single, a walk, three RBI and two stolen bases -- his fifth and sixth of the season -- in Wednesday's win over the Brewers.

Manager Joe Maddon opted to switch up his order after Tuesday's shutout and it worked. Rizzo, who had primarily hit leadoff since July 11, put the Cubs up early with his two-run shot off Junior Guerra in the first frame, and he extended the team's lead to 7-2 with his fourth-inning single. He stole second base after collecting his second hit of the day and swiped another bag in the eighth inning after being intentionally walked. The first baseman is now hitting a healthy .298/.400/.511 with three homers, nine RBI and two stolen bases in 13 games this month.

Abreu went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Tigers.

Abreu's two-run bomb in the fifth inning provided the White Sox the cushion they would need to hold onto their fifth win in the last six road games. He now has 21 homers and 73 RBI with a shot to join an exclusive club in MLB history. He needs four homers and 27 RBI over the final 42 games to join Albert Pujols and Joe DiMaggio as the only major leaguers with at least 25 home runs and 100 RBI in five straight seasons to start their respective careers.

Bour is starting at first base and hitting second Wednesday against the Red Sox.

This will be his first start since the Phillies traded for him Friday. Bour, a left-handed hitter, is in there against righty Nathan Eovaldi. The team is heavily committed to Carlos Santana at first base, but Bour should see a start or two per week against righties in order to keep him fresh. The big surprise is that Bour is hitting all the way up in the two hole, which makes him an appealing option in daily formats. He has a .272/.357/.504 career slash line against righties.

Santana is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Red Sox.

The recently-acquired Justin Bour gets the start at first base and will hit second against righty Nathan Eovaldi. We keep waiting for Santana's batting average to see some positive regression, but it has not cooperated. He is 3-for-27 over his last eight games and is hitting just .214 on the season. Bour should see a start or two per week against righties, but the team is committed to Santana long term, so expect him to be in there most days. He has still been slightly above league average (102 wRC+) thanks to a 17.4 percent walk rate.
