Alonso is not in the lineup Saturday against the Giants, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Alonso will sit for the first time since late May. He's been cold in the seven games since the All-Star break, hitting .100/.200/.300, though the sample size is of course quite small. Dominic Smith will move to first base in his absence, with J.D. Davis starting in left field.

Hiura went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run in a 10-7 loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

While Hiura turned in another quality performance at the plate, it wasn't a solid all-around night, as he made an error to negate a potential double play in the third inning and was also caught stealing in the contest. Even so, Hiura's offensive excellence since the All-Star break should be enough for the Brewers to stick with him in an everyday role despite his shortcomings in other areas. Through his first eight games of the second half, the rookie has gone 17-for-31 with nine extra-base hits, nine RBI, eight runs and three steals.

Abreu went 0-for-5 in Friday's 9-2 win over the Rays and is hitting just. 200 since returning from the All-Star break.

It's surprising to see Abreu as a non-factor when the White Sox put up so many runs in a game. The team leader in home runs (21) and RBI (68) has been quiet since the break, going 7-for-35 with no extra-base hits and just two RBI over eight games.

Cabrera went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, a solo home run and a stolen base in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Astros.

The homer was Cabrera's 12th of the year but his first since June 19, while the steal was only his fourth in 2019. The veteran infielder continues to hold down the starting spot at third base despite a .231/.319/.400 slash line, but the Rangers may be about to reduce his workload considerably and give Danny Santana a look at the hot corner.

Walker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a pair of walks in Friday's 10-7 victory over the Brewers.

Walker launched a two-run homer on a line drive to center field off Jhoulys Chacin in the third inning to give the Diamondbacks a 5-3 lead. The 28-year-old has homered in five of 10 games this month as he continues to heat up in the second half. Overall this season, Walker has 19 home runs, 52 runs scored and 48 RBI while batting .259/.341/.503.

Naylor went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit solo home run in a 6-5 loss to the Cubs on Friday.

Although the Padres suffered defeat anyway, starter Eric Lauer avoided the loss thanks to Naylor -- he tied the game with his long ball. Naylor hasn't displayed much power this season, as this was his first homer since June 5. He is batting .238 with three home runs, 16 RBI, 11 runs and one steal in 105 at-bats this season.

Guerrero went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI in Friday's 12-1 win over the Tigers.

It's his first multi-hit performance since the All-Star break. Guerrero isn't living up to the massive hype that accompanied him to the majors, but the 20-year-old is still offering glimpses of his upside despite a tepid .245/.322/.391 slash line.

Rizzo went 2-for-3 with a walk and a grand slam in Friday's 6-5 win over the Padres.

Rizzo made his 20th home run of the year a memorable one, taking San Diego starter Eric Lauer deep with the bases loaded and two outs in the third inning. The 29-year-old first baseman has now hit 20 or more home runs in seven straight seasons, and he looks locked in as the Cubs' leadoff hitter these days after hitting third earlier in the year.

Lowe went 3-for-3 with an RBI double and another two-bagger during a loss to the Yankees in the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday.

Lowe plated the Rays' only run with his timely double in the third inning, and his second two-bagger later in the contest qualified as his eighth extra-base hit of July overall. The rookie also has multiple hits in three of his last four games, and his season average has already seen a 52-point boost to .315 during the month.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during a loss to the Yankees in the first game of a doubleheader Thursday.

The Cuban slugged the second of back-to-back homers off Yankees starter Domingo German in the first inning, a 341-foot laser that also qualified as Diaz's third homer in the last four games. Diaz also has five multi-hit efforts over the last eight games overall, pushing his season line to a solid .279/.349/.500.
