Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1B | TOR
Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero: Swipes first bag of year
Guerrero went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.
The Blue Jays managed only five hits on the night in a 2-1 victory, and Guerrero's was key -- he banged a one-out single up the middle in the ninth inning, stole second, then came around to score the winning run on Alejandro Kirk's walk-off single. The steal was Guerrero's first of 2025, not a surprise for a player with a career high of eight in the category, and the single extended his on-base streak to 34 games, a stretch in which he's slashing .286/.401/.460 with four doubles, six homers, 16 RBI and 23 runs.

Pete Alonso 1B | NYM
Mets' Pete Alonso: Powers offense with two homers
Alonso went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five total RBI in a 6-1 win against the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Alonso was almost the entire Mets offense in the victory, as he collected two of the team's four hits and knocked in five of the squad's six runs. His first long ball was a 392-foot, two-run shot in the first inning, and the slugger added a massive 447-foot, three-run blast in the eighth. Alonso went through a 16-game stretch without a home run between May 6 and May 24, but since then he's bounced back with five long balls and 15 RBI across his subsequent 10 contests.

Nick Solak 1B | PIT
Nick Solak: Elects free agency
Solak elected to become a free agent Tuesday.
He cleared waivers after being removed from the Pirates' 40-man roster but has exercised his right to free agency rather than accepting an outright assignment. It's possible Solak re-signs with Pittsburgh on a restructured minor-league deal, but he'll have the opportunity to field offers elsewhere.

Tim Elko 1B | CHW
White Sox's Tim Elko: Rejoins major-league club
The White Sox recalled Elko from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.
Elko went just 5-for-31 at the plate during his first stint in the majors, although three of those hits were home runs. The 26-year-old has mashed at Charlotte this season (.984 OPS, 11 home runs) and could receive fairly regular playing time between first base and/or designated hitter after the White Sox placed Lenyn Sosa (hip) on the injured list in a corresponding transaction.

Dominic Smith 1B | SF
Giants' Dominic Smith: Nabs MLB deal with Giants
The Giants signed Smith to a one-year contract Wednesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Smith opted out of his minor-league contract with the Yankees recently and has managed to land in a good situation in San Francisco. He could receive regular starts at first base against right-handed pitching for a Giants club that's been starved for production at the position. Smith slashed .317/.389/.622 with seven long balls and 22 RBI over 82 at-bats in 22 games in May while at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

LaMonte Wade RF | LAA
Giants' LaMonte Wade: DFA'd by Giants
The Giants designated Wade for assignment Tuesday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Wade sported a healthy .767 OPS from 2021 to 2024 with the Giants, but he's struggled to get going in 2025, producing a lowly .167/.275/.271 batting line with just one home run. The 31-year-old is sure to clear waivers given his $5 million salary, and he will likely find another opportunity in a new organization in short order. Dominic Smith was signed by the Giants on Wednesday and could see regular starts at first base.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Astros' Christian Walker: Pops eighth homer
Walker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Pirates.
Walker broke a scoreless tie with his eighth home run of the year in the seventh inning. Though interrupted by a brief absence after getting hit in the hand by a pitch, Walker has gone yard three times in his last seven games. While his power production is ticking up, Walker has hit only .226 across the last month while striking out at a 25 percent clip.

Keston Hiura 1B | COL
Rockies' Keston Hiura: Getting third start in four games
Hiura will start at first base and bat seventh in Wednesday's game against the Marlins.
After being called up from Triple-A Albuquerque over the weekend, Hiura is now slated to get his third start in the Rockies' last four games. Hiura has gone 1-for-6 with a double and two runs since joining the Rockies and will likely need to continue hitting to solidify a spot in the everyday lineup.

Bryce Harper DH | PHI
Phillies' Bryce Harper: Homers in return
Harper went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, two walks and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays.
Harper took Bowden Francis deep in his first at-bat since being hit in the elbow by a fastball May 27. He also worked multiple walks in a game for the first time since April 26. His plate discipline has been superb, as he owns a 6:3 BB:K over his last 14 games. For the year, Harper's hitting .268/.380/.463 with nine homers, 34 RBI, 32 runs, eight steals and a 35:42 BB:K in 245 plate appearances.

Rowdy Tellez 1B | TEX
Mariners' Rowdy Tellez: Goes yard in defeat
Tellez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-1 loss to Baltimore.
Tellez snapped a 12-game homerless cold spell, also plating just his second run since May 18. The veteran slugger has functioned as Seattle's primary first baseman this season, although it appears that pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park is severely hampering his fantasy appeal. Tellez boasts a .915 OPS over 67 at-bats on the road, but he owns a dismal .483 OPS across 68 at-bats at home.
