Abreu (shin) is in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.

Abreu sat out the last two games and underwent an MRI on his sore shin, but the results of the exam did not reveal any sort of long-term injury, and he is ready to get back in the lineup Tuesday. He will man first base and hit third against Angels starter Parker Bridwell.

Santana (shoulder) is starting at first base and batting sixth Tuesday against the Twins.

Santana sat out Sunday with a shoulder injury, but the Indians never thought the issue was anything overly serious, and he's back in the lineup after the team's off day Monday. He'll face Bartolo Colon in his return to action.

Olson has a Grade 2 hamstring strain and will miss the rest of the season, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

Olson hit 24 home runs in just 59 games this season to establish himself as Oakland's first baseman of the future. Expect him to be healthy and good to go for spring training.

Olson is undergoing an MRI on his hamstring Monday and will be shut down, possibly for the rest of the regular season, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

Olson will at least be out for a few days, and with just a week left, that probably spells the end of his 2017. If so, Olson will finish with an eye-popping 24 home runs and a .259/.352/.651 batting line over just 59 games in his first extended stint with the Athletics. Expect him to open 2018 as Oakland's starter at first base.

Olson is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It's a well-deserved breather for Olson, who has started 24 straight games for the A's, hitting .264/.360/.793 with an incredible 15 homers and 26 RBI over that span. In his place, Ryon Healy will start at first base and bat fifth.

An MRI on Abreu's shin came back negative, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.

Abreu fouled a ball off his shin Saturday, and while the White Sox didn't believe the issue was anything serious, they sent him for some tests as confirmation. The good news is the tests revealed nothing new, and the hope remains that Abreu will be able to rejoin the White Sox's starting nine for Tuesday's matchup. In the meantime, Matt Davidson should continue to man first base.

Gurriel is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Gurriel will head to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off after starting eight straight games, a stretch in which he's hit .321/.345/.536 with five RBI. In his place, Tyler White will start at first base and bat eighth.

A foul ball hit Abreu's shin during Saturday's game, and he's feeling some residual soreness as a result. Manager Rick Renteria said it's possible that Abreu will sit out Monday as well to avoid further aggravating the injury. If he does end up resting Monday, Matt Davidson would be the likely candidate to fill in at first base.

Santana (shoulder) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.

Santana received an X-ray on his shoulder, and although the results have yet to be revealed, the team downplayed the severity of the injury Saturday. Edwin Encarnacion will start at first base Sunday with Santana out.
