Panthers' Jalen Coker: Listed as starting WR
Coker is listed as a starting wide receiver on the Panthers' unofficial depth chart.
Despite going undrafted in 2024, Coker has made his presence felt through two pro campaigns, resulting in 65 catches (on 89 targets) for 872 yards and five touchdowns in 22 regular-season games. His defining moment of sorts occurred the last time he was on the field for a contest that counts, when he torched the Rams for 9-134-1 on 12 targets in a wild-card loss. Coker will continue to operate as a complementary option to No. 1 WR Tetairoa McMillan for QB Bryce Young in 2026.

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Just one catch in preseason win
Coker caught his only target for four yards in Friday's 34-17 preseason win over the Jaguars.
The Panthers' starting offense played the entire first quarter, but Coker wasn't a focal point of the passing game while Bryce Young was under center. Coker is coming off an intriguing second half in 2025, posting a 29-349-3 line on 36 targets over the final eight regular-season games before erupting for nine catches, 134 yards and a TD on 12 targets in a wild-card loss to the Rams. The third-year wideout figures to be Young's second option behind Tetairoa McMillan.

Panthers' Jalen Coker: Tallies 10 snaps in preseason loss
Coker played 10 snaps on offense and didn't show up in the box score otherwise during the Panthers' 29-14 loss to the Bills in Saturday's preseason game.
Coker hauled in a nine-yard catch from Bryce Young early in the second quarter, but the play was negated by a penalty. Coker missed the first six games of the 2025 regular season due to a quad injury and had modest production upon his return, but he broke out in the Panthers' NFC wild-card loss to the Rams, when he logged nine catches (on 12 targets) for 134 yards and a touchdown. He inked a three-year, $35 million contract extension with Carolina in June and is slated to serve as the team's WR2 behind Tetairoa McMillan, with Xavier Legette, Jimmy Horn and John Metchie providing depth at the position.
