Colts' Ulysses Bentley: Stays with Colts
The Colts signed Bentley to a reserve/future contract Monday.
The rookie out of Ole Miss spent all but Week 1 on the Colts' practice squad during the 2025 season, where he had two snaps on offense, including one rushing attempt. Bentley is expected to compete for a reserve role in the Colts' backfield as the team prepares to start offseason activities.

The Colts elevated Bentley from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Colts' Ulysses Bentley: Elevated from practice squad
The Colts elevated Bentley from the practice squad Saturday.
It's unclear if Bentley's activation is related to Tyler Goodson's (elbow) questionable status. If active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Bentley will provide backfield depth behind Jonathan Taylor and DJ Giddens. Bentley produced a 22-94-2 rushing line during the preseason.

The Colts waived Bentley on Tuesday, Amanda Foster of the team's official site reports.
The undrafted rookie out of Mississippi finished the preseason with 22 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns, along with two catches (on four targets) for 13 yards and a 20-yard kickoff return across three games. Ulysses Bentley: Slated to join Colts
Bentley is in line to sign with the Colts as an undrafted free agent, Mike Chappell of Fox Sports reports.
Bentley carried the ball 84 times for 419 yards and five touchdowns during his final season at Ole Miss and alsoo added 13 catches for an additional 99 yards. As the Colts currently have little proven talent in their backfield behind Jonathan Taylor, Bentley could have the chance to compete for a depth role.
