Draft Scouting Report
Ja'Kobi Lane is a big-bodied wide receiver who uses his frame well to create separation down the field. His final season at USC was inconsistent, and there are questions about how he will win at the next level. Teams will likely view him as depth rather than an immediate go-to option in an offense.
- 2025: Third-team All-Big Ten
- 2024: 12 receiving TD (second-most in Big Ten, behind Jeremiah Smith)
- Tall frame and good body control to win contested situations downfield.
- Good understanding of how to put defenders in conflict downfield.
- Uses his body well and has long arms to make plays outside his frame.
- Struggles to create consistent separation downfield.
- 6.8% drop rate in 2025, per TruMedia.
- Inconsistent creating separation off the line as the season progressed.
- Can improve his understanding of attacking zone coverage instead of running routes into defenders
- 40-yard dash: 4.47 seconds
- Vertical jump: 40 inches
- Broad jump: 10 feet, 9 inches

Ravens' Ja'Kobi Lane: Bound for Baltimore
The Ravens selected Lane in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 80th overall.
Lane spent his entire three-year college career in USC, with 2024 being arguably his most productive season with 43 catches for 525 yards and a team-leading 12 touchdowns across 13 games. He saw his receiving numbers increase in 2025 (49 catches for 745 yards), though he hauled in only four touchdowns across 11 games. Lane stands tall at 6-foot-4 with a long catch radius and large hands, and he also excelled as a blocker in the run game. He had issues separating from defenders in college and lacks experience on special teams, but that might not matter, as a strong offseason and training camp could establish Lane as the Ravens' WR3 behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman (illness).
