Draft Scouting Report
Anterio Thompson steadily increased his production after transferring, logging 64 tackles and 3.5 sacks over his final two seasons at Western Michigan and Washington. That upward trajectory reflects a durable, experienced interior defender who grew into a consistent contributor against MAC and Power 4 competition.
- 9.39 Relative Athletic Score (141 out of 2278 DT from 1987 to 2026), per MathBomb
- Ran a 4.75-second 40-yard dash at 306 pounds
- Anchors effectively against double teams and rarely gets displaced off his spot.
- Delivers a forceful initial strike that helps him control blockers and stay clean through contact.
- Lacks the acceleration to consistently threaten gaps as a penetrator.
- Change-of-direction ability is limited, which shows up on longer-developing plays.

Falcons' Anterio Thompson: Tapped on shoulder by Falcons
The Falcons selected Thompson in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 208th overall.
Thompson spent two years at junior college before making stops at Iowa, Western Michigan and Washington over his final three seasons. He started just three games in 2025 and finished with 30 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. It's concerning that he wasn't a full-time starter in his fifth collegiate season, but Thompson has the raw tools (4.73 40-yard dash at 6-foot-2, 306 pounds) that make him worth a swing in the sixth round.
