Saints' Ethan Greenidge: Lands on IR
Greenidge (undisclosed) was placed on the Saints' injured reserve list Monday.
Greenidge will now be forced to sit out the entirety of this regular season after similarly missing all of the 2021 campaign with an arm injury suffered in the preseason. The 24-year-old offensive lineman played 15 games for the Saints in 2020, and it's unclear if he is still dealing with this previous season-ending issue.

Greenidge (knee) suffered a knee injury prior to being placed on New Orleans' injured reserve list Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
The full diagnosis is still not clear, but either way Greenidge is slated to miss the remainder of the 2022 season unless he works out an injury settlement with the Saints. As he works to recover, his departure will create increased opportunities for Forrest Lamp and Josh Andrews.

Greenidge re-signed with the Saints this offseason after missing the entire 2021 campaign due to an arm injury he suffered in New Orleans' second preseason game. The undrafted rookie out of Villanova made the Saints' Week 1 roster in each of the two previous seasons as a backup offensive lineman, and he will likely garner a similar role in 2022.

Greenidge suffered an undisclosed arm injury during the Saints' second preseason game, which forced him to undergo successful season-ending surgery at the end of August. He was expected to be sidelined for 4-to-6 months, so he should be good to go come training camp. The undrafted rookie out of Villanova made New Orleans' Week 1 roster in each of his first two seasons as a pro and totaled 49 snaps across 15 games in 2020.
