Ranking (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The 26-year-old returns to the active roster after spending one week on the COVID-19 list. Rankin spent the first half of the season on the PUP list and has yet to see game action.

Chiefs' Martinas Rankin: Moves to COVID list
Rankin (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Makenzie Koch of FOX 4 News reports.
It's unclear whether Rankin tested positive for the virus himself or if he was in close contact with an infected individual. The 26-year-old was activated from the PUP list last week and has yet to see the field this season.

Chiefs' Martinas Rankin: Returns from PUP list
Rankin (knee) was activated from the PUP list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
The 26-year-old has been on the PUP list since early August while recovering from the knee injury, but he'll rejoin the active roster ahead of Week 10. Rankin started five games in 2019 before suffering the injury, and he could be a factor in the Chiefs' starting unit with Mitchell Schwartz (back) and Mike Remmers (ribs) battling injuries.

Rankin's (knee) window to potentially begin practicing opens this week, Herbie Teope of the Kansas City Star reports.
Rankin has resided on the PUP list for the entire season, as the team will now have a three-week window to make a decision on activating him for the season. The Chiefs don't appear in any rush to get Rankin back to practice as he continues to recover from a knee injury suffered in Week 10 of the 2019 campaign.

Rankin suffered a patella injury during Sunday's loss to the Titans and he's now being shut down for the rest of the season. Chiefs' Martinas Rankin: Injury may be season-ending
Rankin (knee) is believed to have suffered a season-ending injury to his patella during Sunday's 35-32 loss to the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Rankin plays a reserve role along Kansas City's offensive line, and injuries to Eric Fisher (groin) and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (ankle) have thrust him into a core position in recent weeks. He's scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. In the event that Rankin is indeed done for the year, the Chiefs will be a strong candidate to sign another offensive lineman to the active roster.

Texans' Martinas Rankin: Fills in at left tackle
Rankin stepped in at left tackle Sunday when Julie'n Davenport shifted to right tackle after Seantrel Henderson left the game with an ankle injury, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Rankin, a 2018 third-round draft pick out of Mississippi State, made his NFL debut and had some problems, which is not surprising given his lack of experience and the level of competition. He allowed one sack and acknowledged a need to improve his technique. Rankin also needs to establish chemistry with the unit because he didn't get many reps during preseason due to a foot injury. Henderson was placed on injured reserve and is done for the season, so the Texans will likely look at some free-agent linemen this week or bring someone up from the practice squad.

Texans' Martinas Rankin: Activated from PUP list
Rankin (foot) was activated from the PUP list Monday, the Texans' official site reports.
Rankin, who underwent surgery in mid-June to repair an injured foot, has passed his physical and will be eligible to return to practice. The third-round pick is slated to provide depth at left tackle upon his return to full strength.
