Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Two-point effort in Game 5 win
Crosby notched two assists Monday in the Penguins' 3-2 win over the Flyers in Game 5 of their first-round series.
Both points came in the second period, as Crosby helped set up a tally by Connor Dewar, as well as the very fluky game-winner by Kris Letang that ricocheted home off the end boards. In between, Crosby briefly headed to the locker room to get his knee checked out after getting hit by a shot attempt from Ryan Shea, but he appears to have avoided anything serious. Crosby has gotten onto the scoresheet in three straight games, collecting a goal and five points during that span, and he'll likely need to come up big again in Game 6 on Wednesday if the Penguins are going to stave off elimination once more.

Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Two points in Game 4 win
Crosby scored a power-play goal on three shots, added an assist and blocked two shots in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flyers in Game 4.
The goal was Crosby's first of the postseason, ending a five-game run without a tally for the 38-year-old. He's been limited to three points with 13 shots on net, eight hits, six PIM and a minus-2 rating over four contests against the Flyers in this first-round series. Crosby's 74-point output in 68 regular-season games was his lowest total in five years. Prior to this year, he had collected 201 points over 180 career postseason contests. His goal Saturday was his 100th career road point in the playoffs.

Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Back at practice
Crosby (rest) was in his usual first-line role at Thursday's practice session, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.
Crosby was rested for two of the Penguins' last three contests, no doubt as part of his recovery from multiple knee injuries this season. Despite missing some time, the veteran center still racked up 74 points in 68 games this season and might have been able to achieve the 90-point mark for the fourth consecutive year were it not for the missed injury time.

Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Sitting out Tuesday in St. Louis
Crosby will not play Tuesday against the Blues, with Pittsburgh resting its key players for the playoffs, per Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports.
Crobsy has 29 goals and 74 points across 68 appearances in 2025-26, maintaining his remarkable point-per-game pace despite missing time after sustaining a lower-body injury while representing Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics. His rest here is purely precautionary ahead of the postseason. Crosby remains an elite fantasy option in all formats and is a lock to feature prominently on Pittsburgh's top line when the playoffs begin.

Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Not playing Saturday
Crosby (lower body) will not dress Saturday versus Washington.
The Penguins are in the postseason, and there is no reason to play Crosby in their final regular-season home game, as he is not 100 percent. The 38-year-old superstar has 29 goals and 45 assists over 67 games this season.

Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Two helpers in Thursday's win
Crosby picked up two assists in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Devils.
The 38-year-old had a hand in tallies by Egor Chinakhov in the second period and Evgeni Malkin in the third. Crosby has reeled off three straight multi-point performances, and over 11 games since returning in mid-March from a lower-body injury he's delivered two goals and 15 points. He remains one goal away from his 14th career 30-goal campaign with three games left in the regular season for the Penguins.
