Hugo Ollas: Not presented with qualifying offer
Ollas was not tendered a qualifying offer from the Rangers on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.
Ollas was a seventh-round selection by the Rangers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The Swedish netminder played in 18 games with ECHL Bloomington in 2025-26, going 5-4-2 with an .896 save percentage and a 3.01 GAA.

Rangers' Hugo Ollas: Returned to minors
Ollas was reassigned to ECHL Bloomington on Thursday.
Ollas was a temporary practice fill-in for the Rangers while they waited for Igor Shesterkin (lower body) to be cleared, coming out of the Olympic break. Considering the 23-year-old Ollas is still playing down in the ECHL, fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to make an NHL appearance anytime soon.

Rangers' Hugo Ollas: Temporarily called up
Ollas was recalled from ECHL Bloomington on Thursday.
Ollas will be with the Rangers during the Olympic break. That will keep him from playing in the ECHL, but he will be sent back down following the break. This move was made so Spencer Martin can stay in a playing rhythm with AHL Hartford.
