Flyers' Jack Nesbitt: Joining collegiate ranks
Nesbitt is headed to Michigan State ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports Tuesday.
Nesbitt is following in the footsteps of fellow Flyers prospect Porter Martone, who spent one season with the Spartans before making the jump to the NHL. Selected by Philly with the 12th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, the 19-year-old Nesbitt notched 25 goals and 33 assists in 55 regular-season games with OHL Windsor last year before adding 10 points in 13 playoff tilts.

Nesbitt has done alright so far in the postseason, earning four goals and two assists over five games. He had 25 goals and 58 points in 55 regular-season appearances, down from his 64-point regular season in 2024-25, so a strong playoff run is important for his continued development.

Nesbitt was a star player even in a loss. The 12th overall pick from 2025 (Flyers) has three goals and eight points over eight contests to begin this season. He put up 25 goals and 39 assists in 65 regular-season outings in his draft year, a massive jump from 18 points in 58 games the year before. He's still got skating to work on, but he's already won a majority of his faceoffs in five of eight contests this year, so he's taking care of business as a center.
