Penguins' Gabriel D'Aigle: Shifted to non-roster IR
D'Aigle (undisclosed) was designated for non-roster injured reserve Thursday.
D'Aigle was never going to make the Penguins roster coming out of training camp given the organizational depth ahead of him. Once given the all-clear, the 19-year-old backstop will likely link up with either AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton or ECHL Florida.

D'Aigle was listed as injured on the Penguins' roster to open training camp Wednesday.
D'Aigle's injury could explain why the team added Collin Delia on a professional tryout for the start of camp. Still, there likely won't be any openings for roster spots between the pipes ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The 19-year-old D'Aigle will likely head to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the upcoming season once he's given the all-clear.

Penguins' Gabriel D'Aigle: Signs entry-level contract
D'Aigle inked a three-year, entry-level contract with the Penguins on Saturday.
Pittsburgh selected D'Aigle in the third round, 84th overall, during the 2025 NHL Draft. He has a 14-21-3 record with a 3.58 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 39 appearances with QMJHL Victoriaville this season. D'Aigle was the league's player of the week in mid-November, and he has posted a .920 save percentage since Nov. 1.

Penguins' Gabriel D'Aigle: Earns weekly honors
D'Aigle was named the QMJHL Player of the Week on Monday.
D'Aigle won both of his games for QMJHL Victoriaville last week, allowing three goals on 66 shots in wins over Shawinigan and Gatineau. For the season, D'Aigle hasn't done all that well with a 4.28 GAA and an .886 save percentage, but this past week was a flash of what made the Penguins elect him 84th overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. Victoriaville is just 8-10-3 through 21 games this season, ranking at the bottom of the QMJHL's Eastern Conference, which will explain a large portion of D'Aigle's struggles so far.
