  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Posts shutout in OT loss

Daccord posted a 34-save shutout in Sunday's 1-0 shootout loss to the Islanders. Daccord was magnificent through 65 minutes of action between regulation and overtime, but he was beaten twice in the shootout, and that forced him to settle for a defeat. Daccord seems to be trending in the right direction of late, although two games aren't enough to believe he's back to his best self yet. Over his last two outings, Daccord has gone 1-0-1 while allowing two goals on 58 shots (.966 save percentage).

The 29-year-old Daccord has a 7-3-3 record with one shutout, a 2.78 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 13 appearances this season. The Islanders have registered 3.18 goals per game, which is tied for 11th-most in the league this campaign.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Holds on for win

Daccord made 22 saves on 24 attempts in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Blackhawks. Despite allowing the first two goals of the game, Daccord held firm in the crease across the final 30 minutes while Seattle's offense mounted a comeback in the last 15 minutes of play. With the win, the 29-year-old goaltender now has a 7-3-3 record with a 2.78 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 13 appearances this season. The victory was his first in two tries since his return from an upper-body injury that caused him to miss five games. Overall, Daccord has been one of the main reasons the Kraken are currently occupying a playoff spot in the Pacific Division. He is a solid goaltending option in most fantasy formats and has the potential to reach the 30-win mark for the first time in his third full season with the Kraken. His next opportunity to guard the crease is Saturday against the Penguins.

Daccord will guard the road goal versus the Blackhawks on Thursday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports. Daccord will make his second straight start since overcoming an upper-body injury. • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Falls to Wings in return

Daccord stopped 23 of 26 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Red Wings, with Detroit's final goal getting scored into an empty net. Activated off injured reserve ahead of the matchup, Daccord made his first start since Nov. 5. He held the Wings scoreless in the first period, but the second frame was a different story as Detroit got three pucks past him on just 10 shots. Daccord has just one win in his last five outings, going 1-2-2 with a 3.38 GAA and an .871 save percentage, but he should slot back in as the No. 1 in the crease for Seattle over Philipp Grubauer.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Activated off injured reserve

Daccord (upper body) was taken off injured reserve ahead of Tuesday's road matchup with Detroit. Daccord has been sidelined for the Kraken's last five contests due to his upper-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the backstop featured in 11 of the club's first 13 outings and should retake his place as the No. 1 option eventually -- though the team could decide to hold him out of the starting spot versus the Red Wings to give him an extra day off.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Pulled from Wednesday's loss

Daccord allowed five goals on 20 shots in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Sharks. Daccord received the hook after allowing a shorthanded goal to Ty Dellandrea at 3:24 of the third period. Matt Murray took over between the pipes and allowed the Sharks' sixth goal of the game. Wednesday marks the third time this year Daccord has allowed five goals, but he's been generally good while helping the Kraken stay near the top of the Pacific Division. The 29-year-old netminder is now 6-2-3 with a 2.83 GAA and a .900 save percentage over 11 starts. He made his sixth straight start, so it's safe to assume he'll get rest with a weekend back-to-back up next. The Kraken visit the struggling Blues on Saturday before heading to Dallas on Sunday.

Daccord will protect the home goal Tuesday versus the Canadiens, per Sound of Hockey. Daccord will make his third straight start and his eighth outing in Seattle's 10th games. The 29-year-old has won three of his last four contests while allowing a total of 10 goals on 116 shots in that span. The Canadiens have 15 goals scored in their last four games, winning three of them, so this is likely to be a tough test for Daccord and the Kraken.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Gets hook in Philly

Daccord turned aside 16 of 21 shots before being replaced by Philipp Grubauer to begin the third period of Monday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers. Two of Philly's goals came on power plays and two others came on defensive zone breakdowns by the Kraken, but the first goal Daccord allowed came after his own misplay of the puck behind the net. It's the second time in his last three starts that the 29-year-old netminder has coughed up five goals, and through five outings this season, Daccord sports a 3-1-1 record, but a less impressive 3.09 GAA and .889 save percentage.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Falls to Habs in OT

Daccord made 17 saves in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Canadiens. It was a tough night for the 29-year-old netminder, who had little chance on the first three pucks that beat him. Daccord went down too soon on Ivan Demidov's tying goal late in regulation, and he left a gap at the near post that Cole Caufield found with a sharp-angle shot in OT. Even with the Karken carrying three goalies on the initial roster, Daccord has started all three of the team's games so far in 2025-26, going 2-0-1 with a 2.23 GAA and .918 save percentage.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Excellent in win over Ducks

Daccord stopped 35 of 36 shots in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Ducks. Daccord was tested early and often in the season opener, but he limited the damage to a Beckett Sennecke goal in the first period. Expect a heavy workload for Daccord throughout 2025-26 after he played in a career-high 57 games last year, going 27-23-5 with a 2.75 GAA and a .906 save percentage. The 29-year-old is the clear No. 1 on the Kraken's roster, while Philipp Grubauer and Matt Murray will compete for starts in the backup role. The Kraken have a tougher test ahead when they host the Golden Knights on Saturday.

Daccord has already set new personal bests in games played (56) and wins (27) this season, though he saw his GAA creep up to 2.69 this year -- slightly above last year's 2.46. The backstop has already signed a long-term extension with the Kraken heading into next year and figures to remain the top option between the pipes.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Loses close game

Daccord gave up two goals on 25 shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Golden Knights. Daccord has started five straight games in April, going 3-2-0 with 11 goals allowed, though seven of them were in Tuesday's game in Utah. The 28-year-old netminder will not be able to reach the 30-win mark after Thursday's loss dropped him to 27-22-5 with two contests left on the Kraken's schedule. He's added a 2.69 GAA and a .908 save percentage over 56 appearances. Philipp Grubauer (illness) was cleared to back up Thursday, but it's unclear if he'll play Saturday versus the Blues or Tuesday against the Kings.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Guarding goal versus Sharks

Daccord will protect the road goal versus the Sharks on Saturday, Max Miller of NHL.com reports. That was his third win in his last seven games, a span in which he has stabilized after a rough early part of March, posting a 2.56 GAA and a .910 save percentage in that sample. Saturday's game is a good matchup for fantasy managers looking for a boost from Daccord late in the semifinals week.
